Run-of-river hydroelectricity

Description
Run-of-river hydroelectricity (ROR) or run-of-the-river hydroelectricity is a type of hydroelectric generation plant whereby little or no water storage is provided. Run-of-the-river power plants may have no water storage at all or a limited amount of storage, in which case the storage reservoir is referred to as pondage. A plant without pondage is subject to seasonal river flows, thus the plant will operate as an intermittent energy source. Conventional hydro uses reservoirs, which regulate water for flood control, dispatchable Electrical power, and the provision of fresh water for agriculture.

This powerplant produce 160MW/d.

It needs 20 workers.

Need only water access!

Its based on the Run-of-the-river hydroelectricity plant in Zurich: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraftwerk_Letten

For people who thinks this is under-powered, this is not. You must have a dam to maximize the energy output of hydro-power. But dams are very expensive to build, even Quebec (in Canada) is a world superpower in hydro-power and yet they take at least 10 years to build a whole dam. And that despite the Quebec government is social-liberal and have an absolute monopoly on the local energy market.

So a small well instead is a good choice if you want some cheaper energy but not having to trade your soul for it. And they just make sense they don't produce much.

@neigrok you can change it in building.ini file with $PRODUCTION eletric 25

Идея отличная. Сделано красиво. Но 3.8 МВт за такую дикую цену? При такой цене строительства и содержания, отдача энергии должна быть от 10 МВт и выше. Иначе красиво, но смысла нет.

I just can't seem to place this. It says either "building cannot be placed on water", then I move it one pixel and its "some parts of this build must be built on water. What am I missing here?

It works, though it's really frustrating to try to find a place for it.

I cant find the building. Where do i need to navigate to find it in the menu? Thanks :)

Produces no electricity ! Doesn't seem to work anymore

@Araxiel useful info thanks! changed mine as well

How do you place this building? I tried with landscape editor, it's always either too much on land or too much in water.

Really nice building, but massively underpowered (pun intended) if you ask me.
I decided to more than double it's power output. If someone else wants to do that with, simply go to
*\steamapps\workshop\content\784150\2186454765\water_eletric and in building.ini change line 19 $PRODUCTION eletric 8 to another value.

I changed the value to $PRODUCTION eletric 20 which puts it at 400 MWh, which is lower than the vanilla Solar Power Plant (which does 560MWh)
