The Five Schools

Description
An integral part of the Hellenistic era is not merely the military conquests of Alexander and political might of the Successors, but also the spread of Greek culture and the intellectual achievements brought about in this area both by the original Hellenes but also by the many and great contributions of Egyptians, Syrians, Anatolians, who participated in the various philosophical developments of the era. This mod seeks to bring these features to life and to simultaneously integrate playing an individual character with the long-term goals of the nation.

The current mod scope focuses on:
- Individual character development as the player seeks to acquire traits as part of their philosophical training
- Provincial effects as new schools are founded to continually produce local philosophers

The character development is the theme of this first release. There are currently 5 possible philosophies to engage with:
- Platonism
- Peripatetism (Aristotelianism)
- Epicureanism
- Stoicism
- Skepticism (Pyrrhonism)
Each school has three traits which require unique requirements to fulfill.
A fantastic 3D model is added to select provinces when a school is founded by the player.

Hi there, great mod! But i have one issue: when i was testing mod with Egypt, i pressed to found a third philosophic school in Alexandria and nothing happened. In Seleucids Babylon same even for the first school. Is it bug of 2.0+ version, or i dont get how this mechanics work? In case for Seleucids problem is the distance between fraction with the required character? But if that is correct what was the propblem with Egypt? Same for Macedonia, although there were different list of schools.

Many thanks for your work on this mod. Is it included in the overhaul mod "Invictus"?

NOT IRONMAN COMPATIBLE.
Not sure how to remove the tag. My apologies.

Why is this marked as Ironman Compatible?

@mezner there should be a 'found philosophy school' decision if you are Hellenic or without diplomatic range of Athens.

I'm having trouble understanding how to activate or use this mods features. Is it automatic?

This is a cracking piece of work, and a much appreciated dose of flavour for the Hellenistic world. Do you need any testers for the forthcoming (and enormous) Innovation tree update? I'd be happy to play a full campaign and dive into the new techs, if it would be helpful data for your balancing. At any rate, thanks very much indeed for this mod.

The new school requirements have been changed to 1 academy and 1 library per school level.

@M A R U S H U thanks for the heads up; I did not consider those types of changes and will update that aspect soon. Thanks for the recommendation.
