Description
Description
This mutator adds small tags above the heads of your squad members.
This way they are more recognizable, in a crowd of soldiers.
I mostly created this because I felt like I needed this feature, but I hope you also find it useful!

This mod is a modification of SteelRaven's NameTags mutator, which is added into the game by default. Thanks EaglePancake for extracting and sharing the sourcecode!

Current Features
  • Custom tag color for your squad
  • Turn on tags for non-player squads


WARNING: this mod may cause lag
The more bots you have, the bigger the lag, it becomes noticable at around 150 (drops 10-20 frames).
I fixed the performance issues. This mod is a modification of SteelRaven's NameTags mutator, so if there are performance issues, check that one as well. Still, this mod shouldn't be slower than NameTags.

Very useful. So far only issue is that it still lowers 10 frames on 160 bots, but I'd guess that its on me for needing 160 bots.

Can you set this so it shows the names of your squad members but not other bots?

I have downloaded this Mod several times but I still do not see the squad markers on top of each squad member--what am I doing wrong?

@Zach Fett SteelRaven's Name Tag mutator is already in base game, you just need to enable it yourself

Tested it a few times, and I'm consistently losing 30~ fps when using this mutator. I'd try out SteelRaven's NameTags mutator like you mentioned in your description, but it seems to have been removed from the workshop?
