Description

Community Resource Pack
Compatibility Status: CRP is working as intended - 9:55PM EAST 19TH APIRL 2024

The Community Resource Pack is a dependency mod to be used by modders and mods alike. It is a mod that creates a pool of resources for these mods to utilise.

The Community Resource Pack has two goals:
- Blend added symptoms, treatments and exams into the core game. This helps prevent the game having multiple exams or symptoms that are technically the same thing but were added by independent mods.
- Blend mods together. A player that uses two crp dependant mods will see connections between the two from similar exams and symptoms.

Modding is much easier together.

What Does This Mod Add?
- Hundreds of symptoms, exams and treatments that a modder can utilise in their mods. All with comprehensive detail, icons and support for multiple languages.

Compatibility
Dependant
- This mod is necessary for some mods to work.

Issues
We highly recommend you do not play the game with "No Hints in Diagnostics" mode enabled.

The reason is because you cannot disable exams in the game code (like you can with diagnosis which lets a modder create updated versions of a diagnosis). Because of this, to make changes to Exams modders had to replace the exam but the old code had to remain to protect the saves of current subscribers. Currently, old exams exist in this mods code and they will be visible if you play with No Hints in Diagnostics. These exams can only be used in No Hints in Diagnostics and they are likely to cause major issues if they are used (why they can't be used normally). So we must recommend such a mode not be played in.

FAQ
What does this mod do by itself?
Absolutely nothing, this mod does not do anything directly to the game, rather it provides the infrastructure for other mods to function.

I don’t want all this extra content in my game?
Fortunately, you will not see any additional content added other then what the mods you are subscribed to utilise. So you do not need to worry about seeing excessive additions to your game.

Hi @Becksholic, personally I couldn't, I'm just not motivated enough to mod PH anymore sorry, mainly because I don't really play it anymore (I tend to mod games I am currently playing). Most of the CRP team aren't active anymore either and I mainly stuck around just to help with bugs or provide help to new modders. You could always try and ask this question on the Project Hospital discord though as I imagine someone might be keen and would appreciate the team up.

@sleepy068 Hi, i heard some guys are working at this kind of mod department.
A other question. I really like the gastroenterology.
would it be possible for you guys, to create a new gastroenterology department.
Some diganosis and treatments are actually in the gerneral surgery, but there are more diganosis and surgeries and treatments in this field.
You can copy a part of things but also make new things.
I can help to give you the diganosis and treatments if you like.
But i´m not a modder...

Hi @Becksholic, sorry are you making this mod or trying to add an existing mod? Either way, that mod itself needs to handle what you are requesting sorry. CRP only adds resources a mod could utilise so modders can save a heap of time from adding symptoms, treatments and complications. It also provides a large icon database any modder may use for any purpose.

If youre making a mod, the complication sounds like adding a new room to add the new treatment, I'm honestly not sure, personally, the psychotherapist treatment should be done in office, within a psychotherapy department. You might be able to make the the time to complete the interaction longer and hence more realistic but it is always best to work within the confines of the game and expand after that.

Hi just a question. I would like to have a mod for an psychatric department. It exist a mod for this but the mod isn´t considering to make treatment with an psychotherapy conversation. The difficulty here is a separate treatment room where these discussions are carried out with a psychotherapist. This means that in addition to the doctors, you need a psychologists office and therapists. Alsoco diagnosis and medication, with doctors and nurses.

Hi @tanyfiliana, please don't play with "No hints in diagnostics" enabled unless you realistically want to act out episodes of "House". Jokes aside, this will actually mean you have no hints. So all exams are available, consider it the hard the mode.

This will only effect exams, not treatments. You literally wont see the treatments unless a symptom requires it which is not possible if you don't have any of the mods that use those treatments.

Most importantly, please don't subscribe to this mod unless one of your mods depends on it. It does nothing on its own, it only provides the framework for mods to blend and work together (or work solo if you only enjoy a single mod), so even with a bunch of department mods, the game still feels vanilla (not a bunch of mods adding the same symptom, exam, treatment, etc).

Hello! Seems lke with this mod I see some exams and treatments from/for mods I haven't installed (actually I haven't installed any new department mods). I've noticed it in the "specialist" mode, where there are no exams clues.

@Sleepy068 Thank you, the error has disappeared. I am looking forward to your update. Thank you for your mod and your work.

Hey @UnderPressure, sorry please please the folder "ModObsolete" too, i thought I had it all in the same folder but apparently I had it in two. Keep in mind the last note if any of those exams are active as you'll need to cycle those through. I'll fix this all up soon anyways and clean up the mods code, maybe throw a few new diagnosis in there to keep things fresh.

@Sleepy068 删除 "ModTRANSITION"文件夹后,会导致大量报错,虽然进入游戏,重复的选项消失了,但报错是没有关系的吗?
After deleting the 'ModTRANSACTION' folder, it will result in a large number of errors. Although duplicate options disappear when entering the game, is it okay to report errors?
