Captain of Scouts: Stalking Stance for Markus Wulfhart

Omschrijving
This mod changes Markus Wulfhart to use the stalking stance like the Skaven and Nagarythe currently do. It seemed somewhat silly that the most famous hunter in the old world would be so clumsy in how he attacks his prey. This mod also changes Huntsman Generals to be better ambushers as well by giving them Ancient Cunning in their campaign skill tree. NOTE: This applies to Huntsman Generals recruited by other Empire factions though they cannot use the stalking stance if recruited by anyone but the Huntsmarshal's Expedition.

Changes:
-Markus Wulfhart now provides +25% ambush attack and defense chance. This is down from 50% for balance.

-All armies of the Huntsmarshal's Expedition use Stalking stance as default including recruited generals.

-Markus and all Huntsmen General's Fervent skill has been changed to Ancient Cunning in the campaign (blue) skill tree. NOTE: This applies to Huntsmen Generals recruited by other Empire factions as well

Bugs:

This might not be save game compatible since it modifies lord skill trees. I recommend starting a new campaign when using this mod.

Can't seem to ambush? Remember that ambushing is a chance based action. Improving the blue line skill will help you ambush more regularly.

Compatibility:

Should be compatible with any mod as long as that mod doesn't modify the stances of Huntsmarshal's Expedition or skill trees of Markus/Huntsman Generals.

@TWW2Ranks It is absolutely possible to remove additional stances, like ambush, or channeling or encamp, and add additional new stances, but not the default stance. The way the game handles stalking is by replacing the default with stalking and adding an effect bundle to the default stance. So Skaven's default stance is actually the same as everyone elses, just it has additonal effects tacked onto it to make there be a chance to ambush.

@TWW2Ranks Yes it would be possible to make a mod like that but its not something I want to undertake.

Heyho, is there any chance you will make a similar mod (maybe just staking stance) for Last Defenders? I think it was always strange to get ambush success chance an kroq-gar and ancient cunning in blue line skills, but most of the time it is more turnsaving to attack straight away instead of hoping the enemie is dumb enought to run into your ambush. Thanks for the cool mod anyway :)

@AlchemysEyes Ambush success depends on your general's ambush bonus weighted against an enemy army's ambush defense chance. Terrain on the map also plays a big role as well in determining the chance of success. In Lustria, in the jungle, you're going to have a huge amount of success to ambush. As far as Gotrek getting ambush, this is in line with how army stances work. If Nagarythe were to somehow be able to recruit Gotrek, he could ambush as a general there too. Stances are done at a faction wide level.

@Tigerus. Unfortunately no. While it might be possible, its well beyond what I know how to do. The game handles stances at a faction level which is why all Nagarythe armies and all Skaven armies have a chance to ambush.
