TIP: How to get the best out of ACG
Try to minimize the amount of other mods you use with ACG => check out the features of ACG and then look if you really need all those other mods that you previously wanted to add to your playlist with ACG. One of the most common mistakes i see is that people use a lot of unnecessary mods that only cause issues. Also make sure to only use mods that are listed as compatible here: 🛠️ Compatibility Thread.

TIP: Watching Space Battles
This mod's cinematic features shine even more when using slow speed during watching Space Battles. Try it out.

Introduction
This mod is the successor mod of Aesthetic Cinematic Graphics. I am basically working on ACG almost since vanilla but just decided to make the first ACG mod public in early 2019 to share how i personally like to enjoy playing stellaris.

Combined with my old ACG mod (which works as foundation for this mod) i have spent 3000+ hours on working on this mod by now (ACG contains more than 270 folders and 10'000 files). Graphical finetuning + Performance improvements alone took hundreds of hours and the time and thoughts that i spent on this mod is just growing because i continue improving and working on this mod constantly.

Nonetheless it's very important to note that this mod is by no means my work alone. I have built this mod upon a lot of feedback of users and many ideas and content of other great modders - reworked and refined it to fit into my personal taste. Without such a great community and helpful modders this mod would never have been possible.

About this mod
This mod is built on 4 pillars:

1. Immersive, Cinematic Graphics
2. Improved Performance
3. New Content
4. Better Balance and Progression


Graphics will be more realistic and cinematic with significant performance improvements included. Only added new content that the AI can use properly. High focus on a well-balanced and smooth gameplay progression. Nothing really overpowered is added with this mod.

There are many graphic and content mods on the workshop but most of them are focused around one single aspect of the game. By restricting yourself on one aspect of the game the risk of causing imbalance, bugs or inconsistencies increases dramatically with each mod you add to your mod's list. This mod tries to avoid that by offering one consistent graphical overhaul incl. new balanced, performance adjusted content.

Thanks for all the memories this mod provided, it was easily my go to mod whenever i wanted to have a really interesting and what felt like an actually "complete" Stellaris experience. Hope your future endeavours also go well!

I understand your reasons for stopping development of the mod, but as someone who did really enjoy ACG. I will at least say that I appreciated the extra ship classes and the tech tree rework. Disruptors weren't 100% through shield and armor. and missiles could be used on every slot type.

There are more that I am forgetting ofc. But know that I enjoyed what your mod did and I hope that one day you can come back to enjoying Stellaris and modding it again. Thank you for the fun games your mod has brought !

This mod project development is being stopped, because i want to focus on my CK3 (and in the future potentially also EUV) mod projects. Maybe i am going to rework and relaunch ACG at some point in the future for Stellaris again, although that's unclear yet. For more details please take a look at the news attached within the mod description or join the ACG discord server.

News
A new Stellaris DLC: Biogenesis was just released alongside a new major update for Stellaris, which does include coding adjustments and other changes. Like i announced before within the ACG discord server: it's unclear if i am going to be able to properly update ACG after this new update because of some of the coding adjustments that have been included into this update and because it's unclear how much work it's going to be .

I will let you know what's my plan going forward once i had enough time to check out all the new content and code - this might take several days or even weeks .

If you have questions please feel free to join the ACG Discord server. I would appreciate it, if people don't spam this comment section - so this announcement will be better visible to all ACG mod users.

PS: while waiting, i recommend to use ACG with the previous Stellaris version 3.14 (pre Biogenesis DLC release).
