Description
Welcome to Manic's West Slavic Units - These are some new designs for the various Slavic nations of Central Europe for both the High and Late Middle Ages.

Now, I know next to nothing about any medieval state east of the Holy Roman Empire so please forgive any glaring flaws in the choice of unit styles in this mod. In an effort to make the designs more 'universal' for the West Slavic culture group as a whole, I tried to base the mid-game units more on Polish designs before switching to those of Bohemia for the late-game models. This is why the late-game troops might look a bit more 'western' than their earlier designs.

The early-game models provided in the Early Eastern Unit Pack, part of the Charlemagne DLC, are currently left unaltered.

This custom unit pack should be fully compatible with any and all mods for Crusader Kings II, so long as they don't also edit units tied to the 'westernslavicgfx' culture.

Want even more modded units? Or perhaps you're just the nosy type like me? Then I humbly suggest that you check out my other unit mods, located in the Manic's Units workshop collection.

For those experiencing issues with the Workshop, or otherwise wish to bypass it for whatever reason, you can download a file containing all of the Manic's Units mods here[www.dropbox.com]. Simply place both the folder and the .mod file in your CK2 mod folder (Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod by default).

All of these mods are both Ironman & savegame compatible.

@FallenEagle - Actually, it might be better to add unit_graphical_cultures { bohemiangfx westernslavicgfx } instead. Otherwise, Bohemian early game unit models will default to the generic Western European ones.

@FallenEagle - Yes, but it would require giving Bohemian its own graphical culture and then re-assigning the modded units to that instead.

1. Create a 'common' folder and then 'cultures' folder inside of that, then add the 00_cultures file from the base game to it

2. Open it, then find the 'bohemian' entry and add the line unit_graphical_cultures { bohemiangfx } underneath. You can call this new culture whatever you want, I'm just using this as an example.

4. Create a 'graphicalculturetype' folder within the 'common' folder you created earlier, then add the 00_graphicalculturetype file from the base game to it.

5. Open it, then add an entry for the 'bohemiangfx' culture. All you'll need to do is copy/paste/edit one already in there.

6. Open both the files located in the mod's 'interface' folder and replace all instances of 'westernslavicgfx' with 'bohemiangfx'.

I haven't tested it, but that should do it. Hope this helps!

Hi, little question for you.. Is possible to edit file and make unit only for one nation? For example only for Bohemians? Thx:)

No 100% sure but a Roman one like @Adeptus Arbitres proposed, especially for the restored Roman culture instead of the usual Greeks, does sound like a good idea.

Oh that's nice mod. Could you do the same for byzantine/roman?
