Description
Legend of the Mist Ghoul
“ Sightings of hovering ghoulish creatures from the misty caverns west of the Holy Nation plains. The ghouls possess elongated, black frames with long fingers, glowing eyes and a mouth that stretches to the size of a full grown man.
Travellers who delve into the mist are renowned for not returning again, until further notice expeditions are to be avoided in the area.

In the same style as my previous Grievewraith mod, this aims to bring one of the legends to life in the form of a new and interesting enemy.

Fogmen are scary enough but have you ever wondered if there's anything worse lurking in the mist? The mist ghouls have you covered. They don't eat, don't bleed, don't talk, are unnaturally fast and incredibly tough.

They're not common by any stretch of the imagination... You'd be lucky to spot one at all when travelling through the islands. Though... They say that the deepest areas of the fog hold terrors unimaginable... Or you could just follow the trails of dead fogmen.
They mostly come in 3 different forms with their own little quirks:

- Mist Fiend: Scrawny and REALLY quick, you ain't running away from these.
- Mist Ghoul: Middle man, most common variant and usually spawn in pairs or in groups with Fiends.
- Mist Horror: Big and scary, especially tough and commonly seen alone.
- ???

They all have fairly low defence (not much but enough to defend themselves from low level characters). However their attacks are damn near unblockable. The trick is to overwhelm them before they overwhelm you.

The mod also adds in 2 new weapons:

- Forked Cleaver: Sometimes used by the ghouls (Blueprints can be found in Mongrel).
- ???

can you recruit these guys (with the recruit mods) i tried the recruit anyone/prisoners mod and i cant recruit them

it seems mother of the mist cannot be recruited even if i modded it with dialogue package

Hey bro, love your mod! I made some small tweaks regarding some stuff not working, f.e. Mist Ghouls keep doing campaigns to player bases, even though when mist ghould queen is killed. Simply added a world state event to untrigger this campaign.

I also removed your test game start haha. LMK if you're still active or not to make these changes, I can help you if you want.

I'm not sure I agree with draconian, I encountered my first Mist Horror today after revisiting the foglands in a long time, my main character with 84 attack and and 89 defense could 1v1 it with the meitou polearm from the southern hive queen (so, very average weapon, since this doesn't benefit from 50% animal dmg nor 30% armor dmg,nor the aoe dmg), it went down once it's chest reached -6 or something hp and I immediatly looted it's teeth afterwards which are 600 a piece (and you get 8 so it's really worth it) and as with most looted items on creatures/animals it died the moment I looted them.

They attack fast but only do about 42 raw damage, my hero was only wearing soft armor.

So just as with the grievewraiths, adapt to the new enemy and "close in for the kill" asap once you've downed it through whichever means, instead of complaining that they can't be handled with methods used against every single other enemy in the game.

This mod is single handedly ruining UWE for me. Dont ever let these near your base. They are nearly unkillable unless you mod in op weapons. 250 hp and .02 wound degen but cant wear armor. This means when they run into my turret line or my melee line they go down almost instantly. They dont wear armor so they arent very tough. They go down but never die. They get up so many times that they bug out your gunner ai. My gunners stare at unconscious ghouls they cant shoot. I used lag to get a time dilation effect. I managed to get a ghoul down to -230 chest hp. It still got back up. Their natural regen beats any wound due to over 100 toughness. The modder who made this obviously wants a challenging fight but doesnt really understand how kenshi stats work.
