Description
The Nambu pistols (南部拳銃 or 南部大型自動拳銃 Nanbu kenjuu or Nanbu ōgata jidou-kenjuu) were a series of semi-automatic pistols produced by the Japanese company Koishikawa Arsenal later known as the Tokyo Artillery Arsenal.
The series had five variants, the Type A Model 1902 (also called the Grandpa Nambu), the Type A Model 1902 Modified (also known as the Papa Nambu), the Type B (also known as the Baby Nambu), the Type 14 (南部十四年式自動拳銃) and the Type 94.

The pistols were designed by Kijiro Nambu and saw extensive service during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. The Type A was made in very small numbers. Type A Modified and Type B Nambus were never formally adopted by any branch of the armed forces of Imperial Japan but were sold to officers through officer stores. The Type 14 was adopted as an official sidearm. (-Wikipedia)

Just look for people who actually have a well maintained nambu, it's not regarded as a a bad weapon by anyone who knows a damn.

No the gun really wasn't that bad, it's just acoustic American soldiers not knowing how to use weapons, keeping them in terrible condition and then some random guy with no knowledge of the gun using it 120 to 70 years later and lo and behold it works terribly. The spring and firing pin issues were not particularly significant and the 94 was far more reliable. Then there are articles like this shit https://www.19fortyfive.com/2023/05/nambu-the-worst-military-gun-to-ever-fire-a-shot/ where the author combine elements of both the 14 and 94 and also seems to no nothing about how the gun works, claiming the gun was prone to misfiring when not just was this attributed the the type 94 anyway it was because some idiots would press down the partially exposed firing sear (which you'd have to do very firmly) which when on safety couldn't even be pressed down anyway.
I mean the gun was first designed in 1904.

The firing pin should be broken every time a shot is fired, which is in line with historical facts.
