Archipelago world, many smaller islands separated by vast ocean - good for naval warfare.

Lava World - lava can't be exploited and can't be traversed by other means than air. Supports Pangea and Continents types. Lava World with continents can be especially difficult where you have to use teleporters or just air units to move to another landmass - which may be quite difficult to colonize.
