Description

This mod could have been renamed Firebrand Choice 🤔
The ability to place the evac zone has been modified. No longer will you be able to place the evac zone wherever you want. No longer will it appear immediately either.
You will now request an evac, then Firebrand will place the evac zone when she is ready.

Changes

By default Firebrand will need at least 2 turns to find a location for evac. One turn before appearing a flare will let you know the location of the evac zone.
If we find no spot, the evac zone will spawn on the squad location.
The evac zone will remain active for 3 turns.

All can be changed in the config folder in XComRequestEvac.ini

Notes

Do not use this mod if you're using the Tutorial. You won't be able to place the evac because I'm modifying the Place Evac ability.

Thanks to Maluco Marinero and his Delayed Evac mod from where I took most of the code regarding delaying the time for the evac to spawn.
Thanks to Astral Descend for his help on finding how the missions handled evac spawn.

Oh very true. It can't work with the Tutorial because I'm modifying the Place Evac ability.

I was unable to evac tutorial mission because it requires immediate evacuation.
Solved by disabling your mod and redone tutorial.

Yes I believe that's what it means. I'm using game code here and the spawn location is the most obscure part to me in this mod. I intend to rework this once I get my hand on it.

Btw, what does "From the available location we will then try to find the one further away from the xcom spawn." mean specifically?
Does it mean that evac will favor spawning far away from Xcom's starting position on the map?

Started to think about this mod exactly because of Avatar Facilities. What is the point of sending reinforcement if you can evac the same turn you plant the bomb? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

https://imgur.com/a/rXcIp44 Got a midair evac zone, called from the fire escape above. 2nd one called from inside the building worked (spawned inside), but at least no one died. I'll try raising max tiles to 30, and not calling skyranger from weird positions.
