is there anyway to just disable everything but the map itself, I really just want to play the map by itself without a bunch of broken stuff

I think I have got the process down. I enable the map from the Mods screen and it shows up automatically on my main game loading sceen. From there I just prepare the game as usual. I played a few turns and everything seemed to work. Noted that there were different types of mountains (passable and non-passable). So...looks good for now. Will get back if have any problems.
