Diadochen

Description
Ever felt like gameplay in the East was a little stale, with only three, more or less well-established Diadochi kingdoms? This mod aims to bring you back to 321 BC, the year of the Triparadeisos Partition, when the Diadochi Wars were just beginning. In theory, Antipater of Macedon is recognized as the Regent of the Empire, but technically each satrap is free to follow his own policies. Each one of them, now with years of military experience behind them and Persian wealth readily available, has a chance of carving an empire for himself. It is up to you to lead your satrapy in the quest for the reunification of Alexander's Empire.

*LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO CREATE EVENTS*

Issues: As you might be aware, the starting date has been hard coded by Paradox and it cannot yet be changed. Which practically means that I have tried to arrange the age of the characters as if the date was 321 BC. If Paradox enables the change, I will correct the ages accordingly.

The situation:

The elderly Antipater still rules in Macedon, but he won't be around for much longer. Who is going to succeed him? Kassander, his son? Polyperchon, the experienced general? Alexander IV and Philip III of the Argead dynasty still survive. Are you going to support them or 'remove' them and establish your own dynasty?

In the east, Antigonos has been appointed general of Asia, given a Macedonian army and funds to finish the war against Eumenes the Cardian, satrap of Cappadocia. The latter has been outlawed after supporting the previous Regent, Perdikkas, and condemned to death after defeating and killing the great Krateros. Antigonos is supported by Asander, satrap of Karia, but Eumenes is a very capable general, and he is allied to Alketas, brother Perdikkas. Along with other outlawed generals he's found refuge in Pisidia. It remains to be seen whether Eumenes and Alketas will manage to coordinate their efforts against Antigonos.

In the south, Ptolemy reigns supreme after surviving the campaign of Perdikkas in Egypt, which ended with the latter's murder. Ptolemy's goal for the time being is to expand in Syria and Cyprus, in order to provide a ring of safety around Egypt. Laomedon of Mytilene governs the wealthy satrapy of Syria, but he's got to fight hard, if he's to retain his satrapy.

In the East, the ambitious Seleukos and Peithon of Media are trying to expand their territories. However, the other satraps, most formidable of whom is Peukestas of Persia, will certainly put up a good fight. As the war between Eumenes and Antigonos rages, the upper satrapies will likely have to choose sides, sooner or later.

Further east, the Indian kingdoms of Taxiles, Poros and Abisares still survive. Can they cooperate to assert their independence against the Macedonians? Or will they ultimately fall to the Mauryas?

About me: I hold a BA in Ancient and Medieval History with a specific interest in Hellenistic History. Which is the reason I've created this mod. I don't have any particular knowledge in modding, besides the most basic stuff. However, I will try to find some people who could help with event creation etc.
