Description
This mod allows you to easily change the displayed in-game date.

Adds a text field in the city info panel (the green "i" icon) allowing any custom date to be entered between 1/1/0001 and 31/12/9999

Potential uses for this mod:
- More accurately set time periods for historical/future style cities in-game
- Makes it easier to break the date limits of the game

This mod works by changing the game's tick offset value, so no game mechanics are affected. Dates are formatted dd/mm/yyyy like the vanilla game.

Notes:
- The changed date is saved when the save game is saved
- Use >>year to skip to a certain year (eg. >>3000 sets the date to 1/1/3000)

Thanks to boformer for the modding tutorials [community.simtropolis.com] on Simtropolis, and the many mod authors on the workshop that have open-sourced their mods on GitHub.

It still works, but it literally disables the population altogether and keeps it stuck at 0. Don't do it lol

It used to work well but now it won't appear in the menu tab!!!

Does anyone know of a mod that removes the year from the date? Just the day and month displayed would be awesome.

Still works four years after being abandoned! It's such a simple utility, I wish one of the larger mods would absorb it.

This mod has a direct conflict with Real Time mod and many occasional (unwanted) changes in statistics. Plus it does not store the date right. I would not use it.

the mod idea is very good, when you enter a date, the time automatically jumps to the desired period, however, when closing the save and opening it again, the time jumps to another date, random, that was not the one chosen. This gets in the way and makes it very difficult for those who want to play based on real time.

Do I need to continue to subscribe to this mod to keep the date I entered? It seems if I am not subscribed to this after I have changed the date and saved the game, that it reverts back to a previous date?
