Description

Virago - additional Leper skins

Uses slot :heroes/leper/leper U.

Game assets used as base.

Does not overwrite vanilla Leper skins.

Includes
ONE skin
-vanillaish mask with hood, for the other options, check description below.

*New for this one, atleast from me, optimized file size. Mod is 75% smaller, than un-optimized version would be. If everything works just fine, I will update all of my old mods with same optimization, and future ones too.

Animation previews

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Variations:

3 variations available atm. vanilla mask one included in this by default, others from Nexus.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installing other variant

Just subscribe to this, and download other version from Nexus (link at bottom), and just replace the this one with it, simple drag and drop, overwrite.

To be more precise, in Workshop you have data/heroes/leper/leper_U/anim. You want the stuff inside Leper_U (this letter will be different), from the Nexus download, where is the portrait pic, and folder "anim" (that has 12 pngs). Those two things, overwrite.

Where does Steam download this? Here is how you can find this mod, or any other DD Workshop one:

1. Go to the mod list for any campaign.

2. Hover over the mod, pop-up should show you the location of the mod.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do optional files this way?

- First of all, optimization. After chatting a bit with veteran modders at Moonlit Dungeon discord-server, the best way to do things at Workshop is no loose stuff uploaded. If needed, multiple mods is the best way of doing things, that is what I was told.

- It's rather minor change, just the head, so didn't want to include all three in this (You can't easilly just remove X ammount of variants from Workshop mods).

- It's easy drag and drop, and overwrite thing to do as extra, if you want other variant.

- Additional palettes will have 3 skins, optionals in Nexus again, if you want just these three for example, you can replace the skins in that with them. The game will show the skins that are in that particular folder.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Future

-Color palettes, will be separate mod. Soonish probably.

-Optional Vanilla "no hand on hip" idle and walk stances. Kinda forgot to do those, came to mind while writing this.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things to notice

- Withstand fx, don't allign properly. I changed the dodge pose, and that shares same pose for Withstand. I tried to do vanilla optional pose, but I made her somewhat smaller than regular Leper, the results just looked weird with the bigger outline of Withstand. Might take another look at this later. Maybe.

- Buff (flame effect) Kinda fits, kinda doesn't, see preview pictures above.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original skin:

The Red Tanja version of this can be found here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1539350347

I will be updating her with some stuff from this one, like animation changes, hew pose, and so on, but atm she isn't updated yet.

I went thru all the comments for the original skin, and tried to asses any issues people had with it, with this one. Plan is to translate the changes to the original one too.

when will be the next update for the dark hair with gold plates?. there are dark hair in the red tanja version but it is kinda lewdy... and absurd armor with bikini chain mail that no one would wear it irl cuz it is lack of protection..

If they had the leper's ''abs armor'' it would be perfect for me.

1) Does this use the new naming system to avoid conflicts with other skin mods?
2) Can you do a version that's just the skins without all the other changes? The one-handed sprite looks really wrong after seeing Leper two-hand in hallways for years

Hi this skin gets overridden by anti cow's Crowned leper skin

If the skin is not in the game, just put an earlier letter of the alphabet (for example A)
P.s. If you don't understand what I'm writing, then read from the bottom up (:

Oh yes, this will not be considered a mod, you do not need to put anything when entering your world. Just go to the character panel (in this case, it is a Leper) and click in the lower left corner to change the skin of your hero, that's where your skin will be.

P.S. Here everything is simple, you just need to go to the place where you have the game installed, find the heroes folder and select the hero you need. After that, just insert the folder with the skin. This works even on Pirates and other versions of this game from other stores. I will say in advance that at the end of each folder with a skin there is a letter, it is definitely needed and if it is not in the mod you downloaded, then the skin will not be read by the game (I do not know how it works, just put the lower dash and write any letter of the Latin alphabet and then everything will work). As I said, this works WITH ALL SKINS DOWNLOADED FROM Nexus and other sites, if it is not a replacer pack of the entire hero.

In general, people, I will now tell you how to put all 3 skins, there is nothing complicated here, it is strange that the author does not tell you this, but in any case I will tell you this.First download all three files from Nexusmods.com (at the very end of the mod on Steam, the author himself gives you a link), and then perform the following actions.
1) Download these archives and unzip them.
2) Follow this path: My computer/ drive( ur letter)/ SteamLibrary/ steamapps/ common/ DarkestDungeon/ heroes/ and from all the heroes we choose Leper.
3) Paste the unzipped folders into the "leper" folder and that's it, now you have all 3 skins.
Here everything is simple, you just need to go to the place where you have the game installed, find the heroes folder and select the hero you need. After that, just insert the folder with the skin. This works even on Pirates and other versions of this game from other stores.

So about that pallet expansion.

Also I'm having an issue where the only variant that shows up is the leper mask version. Any ideas how to fix?
