hey guys- is it only me or increasing accuracy on matchlock units does not really work ?
Aerosol31 Nov 15 @ 5:30am
@Finn the Human I have thought of that but in the end I refrained from uploading it in Steam Workshop until it was done, as with the exception of bug fixes, the changes I made are mostly visual, ie no changes in gameplay and such. Also balancing is a very delicate process and needs thorough testing and I cannot focus on two at the same time, as the encyclopedia alone is already more than I can chew.

For now I am busy fixing the banners and flags of some clans in the mod and after will resume to the building entries, which I will again fix some bugs (there are MANY in the buildings, like effects downright cause an underflow in the endgame or some just straight up not work) so my routine is like I have to fix the building first before creating an encyclopedia entry for them so that it won't bother me to change later.

For now I made a "Beta" folder in the google drive which I update to the latest experimental version if you want to play with the latest fix.

@Free Waffles that's a strange request, but I'll see what I can do. Never finished a campaign that had all the tech learned, so it never occurred to me.

Your work is amazing! but, I was wondering if you could upload the encyclopedia as a WIP onto steam workshop? all good if you rather wait till you complete it properly - happy to wait

@Aerosol31 Doing god's work updating the mod with the encyclopedia. Been using your non-built-in one on and off the past few weeks playing the first time.

Kind of a weird request, but would you happen to know how to make an option to increase the time it takes to research tech? I feel like that's literally the one tiny gripe I have with the mod is how I can get to the end of both trees with 20 years to spare. Someone made one once it seems but I'm unable to get it to work and it seems like it's not supported anymore

@Finn the Human For now, yes. There's a google drive link attached to that page, but I'm open to suggestions so that I could make it available to many.

In the future I may divide the files by 100mb-ish for those with unstable/slow internet, but only when I finish with the project and uploaded it here in steam workshop.

is the link below the only way to download the encyclopedia?

@Aerosol31 holy moly dude that is awesome, this is a great mod that should get some updates for sure, will you be posting your updated version on steam workshop ?
Aerosol31 Oct 29 @ 3:14pm
@Ligma Bababooey The enemy sashimono is broken currently as the mod does not include files for newly created clans (I think they forgot).

Good news is I am currently updating this mod together with a built-in encyclopedia. It's still a work in progress but I have created entries for units and navies already (buildings, tech, and others still ongoing). But I have already merged both Old and New factions into one mod + fixed the trade panel resources not working on the base mod.

You can check it out here MoSS with Encyclopedia [www.twcenter.net].

Currently I am also fixing, or more like creating from scratch the broken sashimonos you mentioned, which is quite a lot

also, the difficulty in this mod feels very artificial. I saw a militia mob shred experienced ashigaru units to pieces really? Auto-resolving battles feels way easier than doing them manually.
