Beskrivelse
The base that makes people's hopes come true

IV04 Base features:
-A lot of customization to adapt to your requirements
-Includes five test nextbots (Alyx Nextbot, Zombie Nextbot and Citizen Nextbot, another zombie nextbot (uses death animations) and a simply rebel nextbot)
-Includes two default behaviours ( 1:Melee only AI aka: dumbest one, 2:Keep distance from enemy and do range attack aka: More advanced AI )
-You can make a custom behaviour if your nextbot's behaviour is more advanced than the two example ones
-You can make them have multiple ways to validate the enemy, wanna make it timed? (OSW), wanna make it lighting dependant? (Stealth Nextbots)
-They will actually react to ignore players and disable thinking
-They can be attacked by (S)NPCs without the old bullseye method (big FPS boost) (you can still enable it if you feel like it)
-Multiple Sighttypes (cone, sphere and all the world)
-They choose targets based on distance, and can switch depending on conditions like being damaged
-They decide if they can or can't choose targets based on the target's faction
-Wall and ladder climbing, aswell as many other neat locomotion tricks
-Plenty of ways to code an AI, as seen in the many addons that run off it

Test nextbots's features:
-Zombie: Generic enemy, just a test for melee attack
-Alyx: She shoots at enemies, has range attack behaviour and reloads, her AI is inferior to my Stealth Nextbots's
-Citizen: He follows the player or Alyx if he sees one of them, if he sees an enemy and he's not following someone then he will run to a hiding place
-Rebel: Has SMG1, will shoot at close targets, a good example of pose parameters
-Test Zombie: Test HLS NextBot, has interesting death animations and event based damage

Some tools:
-Status report: Used to check a Nextbot's basic features such as speed or health
-AI Reset: Used to reset a Nextbot's AI, may also fix something that went wrong
-Nextbot Mover: Used to move nextbots from a place to another one
-Relationship changer: Can make nextbots friendly or enemy

Chat commands:
- /IV04SetFaction (your faction)
- It allows you to set your faction to that of a nextbot, making them friendly (example, /IV04SetFaction FACTION_ALLIANCE)
- /IV04SetNoTarget (will tell you in chat if nextbots will ignore you)

ConVars:
- iv04_nextbot_omniscience (it does exactly what it says, just set it to 1 in the console)
- iv04_nextbot_detect_grenades (allow grenade detection?)
- iv04_nextbot_drop_weapons (what it sounds like)

This may not receive as many updates as the addons that run off it, but it doesn't mean it's abandoned, it's still being worked on, no matter the first impression.

I wish there was an option to make these ragdoll upon death. As much as I respect adding the original enemy's death animations, I will always prefer the ragdoll system

Is there a means of tweaking NPCs sight ranges without either outright editing the mod, or setting them to omniscient? For example, if i place an NPC on one side of a flat but wide area, and another on the opposite side, have both NPCs be able to see eachother, but still not see if there is an NPC, say, behind a wall? The base is amazing in alot of regards but i can't help but feel like all of the NPCs are nearsighted or something

dope man, the VJ optimization buff also makes MASSIVE fights with these npcs really cool.

I see the newest VJ Base update rendered the compatibility hooks unnecessary breaking them
