Crampton '4-2-0'

Description
The 'Crampton' locomotive was designed by Thomas Crampton, in a mission to prove standard gauge locos could be just as fast as their rivals on the GWR 'Broad Gauge'. His idea was to have an exceedingly long boiler, low slung and with huge 8ft driving wheels set behind the firebox. These engines could hit 60mph with ease on short express trains on flat ground. However, like all single drivers, it has problems. Its traction surface was very low and the weight over the driving wheel was lacking, even if they were VERY powerful. These locomotives hung on regardless due to their turn of speed, some until 1902.

Damn strange, as it seems to have pushed through the renamed folder and such, but not the files. In my staging area the files are correct, however the workshop versions appear to be wrong... All I can do is push out another update this evening for both engines, just to be sure (and to remove that logo).

At least you got the sounds working for yourself. Chuff chuff.

OK, thank you. I have found the same problem and solution for your Crewe type, too.

That should have been included in the update unless I missed something. It needs to be updated again however as the asset version has a random floating logo on the tender, so I will double check the changes have been made.

When I play myself I use the workshop version so it could be just your files, but I will check that for you.

SteveM4 - just started a new game and I've just bought this train :) However, there was no engine 'chuffing' or whistle sound. I re-downloaded the mod but problem persisted. I went into the sound lua and saw the path for the audio set was 'vehicle/LOCO/XXX.wav'. I changed all the paths to 'vehicle/crampton/XXX.wav' and this fixed the issue. Not sure if it was just my file set or just something that was missed in the recent update.

Love the loco - I have quite a few of your creations :steamhappy:

I'll see what kind of crazy scheme I can come up with to satisfy everyone.

I rather prefer to keep the limited version, which is great when used on short distances

I'd ideally like to get rid of the limited version, my update to have no avaliability. It was a test to see if I could get a lower price for 37mph but in the end you may as well use the new model with more accurate stats.

Minor thing, just saying in case you didn't see, but the one limited to 28 still has the thumbnail of the old model and a sign saying 37mph. Love the new model!

There'll be another balance update on the way, this one is still nerfed from the original but I'm going to look up some real tractive effort figures from European Cramptons to be more accurate.

I love this train but perhaps it is too good for its time when it gets available as it blows away the competition in both speed and power for a long period.
