Old Style Civil Wars

Description
A simple mod returning civil wars to its pre-Rajas of India style.

Faction leaders will no longer create a titular title and vassalize fellow faction members. Instead, all faction members join the war as allies.

Since all faction members can now bring their full force, this mod makes a ruler's life more challenging.

Credits to Paradox Forums user 'Silversweeeper' for their tutorial. NOT compatible with achievements and any mods that changes CBs.

Recommended mod: Call to Arms https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1592178142

(this goes without saying but just in case: make backup files if you modify the data)

As far as I know it does not matter where you put in the line as long you start the command line with } and also end it with }
e.g:

accepts_liege_governments_culture_and_religion = { # Tribals have no opinion penalty towards their liege if of the same culture and religion
order_government
}
vassal_call_to_arms = {
tribal_government
feudal_government
republic_government
merchant_republic_government
order_government
chinese_imperial_government
theocratic_feudal_government
muslim_government
theocracy_government
confucian_bureaucracy
nomadic_government
roman_imperial_government
}
no_vassal_tax = {
tribal_government

@Cooli167 If you want to have the abbility to call your vassals into a war, either because of this mod or maybe even in general, you should want to dive into the datas of CK2 and edit the data yourself.

You only need to follow this directory -> Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II\common\governments

After you found it you want to acces the government files [e.g. feudal_governments] and add this line inside the data. Recommendation: Use Notepad ++ ;)

vassal_call_to_arms = {
tribal_government
feudal_government
republic_government
merchant_republic_government
order_government
chinese_imperial_government
theocratic_feudal_government
muslim_government
theocracy_government
confucian_bureaucracy
nomadic_government
roman_imperial_government

Glad to hear you found it. By editing that mod's CB_types.txt file like I explained you can make it do the same thing as this mod.

Scratch that, I think the problem isn't your mod but a conflict with Crusades Improved! My bad =)

Thanks for the help!

Do you know what broke your mod with the new update? and is 01_cb_types new CBs that need to be edited, or are they all irrelevant to civil wars?
Enriador  [author] May 29, 2020 @ 8:13am
You have to dive into /common/cb_types/00_cb_types.txt and edit some lines from "major_revolt = yes" to "major_revolt = no". Notepad++ helps a lot with this.

This mod doesn't seem to be working as of 3.3.3. I have revolts for Council Power and Against Tyranny and each of them are a single realm instead of many. How can this mod be fixed to work with the latest version?
