Tactical Menacing Sections

Tactical Ship Sections aims to widen the options given by ship design choices, without creating additional ship classes, to maintain an aura of vanilla likeliness and balance.

Major Changes

Vanilla Hull Upgrades now unlock new ship sections
Always wondered about a destroyer with strike craft capabilities?
Want to sacrifice some weapons in the design to put more armor/shields?
Corvettes with a Large weapon slot? Checked.
Destroyers and Battleships AND Titans can also have missiles now.

You can do that with the new ship sections.

Major rework on most vanilla ship sections
Every ship have some kind of specialization that you can pick, or simply ignore, being the following:
Corvettes: Small weapons
Destroyers: Point defense
Cruisers: Missiles
Battleships: Strike Craft
Titans: You need to research Advanced Titan Hulls for this one. It's Extra-Large Weapons.

Destroyers Get an additional auxiliary slot for extra versatility.

Localization Patches:
русский / Russian
日本人 / Japanese
中文 / Chinese

Compatibility
- This mod should be incompatible with most other mods that also mess with vanilla ship designs.
- This mod is incompatible with NSC2.

This mod is balanced around vanilla and made to be standalone from any other ship mods.

I don't have the time anymore to maintain the compatibility patches/editions, so I'll stick to maintaining only the main mod.

Care to share while we are waiting on the update? I don't mind doing a little legwork but I sadly havn't the time to update it for myself completely.

I really like the concepts of this mod, so I made a private branch for myself a while ago. For 3.6's Frigates, I'm going to shift Schiffjaeger over from Corvette and leave Corvette with 4 section choices.

seems like irony doesn't particularly like .bak duplicates. granted, it's irony issue but not sure why you would want them part of the upload anyways, especially with how only some files have it

I have repeatedly confirmed that this mod is bugging out war attrition in 3.3.1. from ship losses that have the added sections, and it is also bugging out ship disengagements. It's not completely game breaking, but I will have to uninstall until fixed. Thanks for the great mod, though.

I am running this mod right this moment. Tactical Ship Sections works perfectly for Stellaris version 3.2. If you're running into issues,then the issue does not lie in Tacitcal Ship Sections.
