Welcome everyone!

this is the latest mod from my "Grand Order of the Reiksguard series: "Reiksguard Halberdier Knights". I hope you enjoy using it but feel free to leave constructive feedback so i know what's good and where things could or should be improved :)

1. General Description:

This mod adds a new unit to the Empire of Man:

Reiksguard Halberdier Knights

"Reiksguard Halberdier Knights are equipped with the very finest weapons and suits of armour available which are emblazoned with symbols of allegiance to the Emperor. They use the far reach of their halberds to keep their emperor safe from every kind of monstrosity fielded by the heretic realms."[[/i]

Pros:
  • High damage output, especially against armoured and large targets
  • Great defense
  • Superb moral due to their discipline, excellent training and acompanying officer
Cons:
  • Vulnerable against ranged units
  • High costs and upkeep because they need expensive equipment and training

Recruitment:
They can be recruited at Castle Reikguard in Altdorf or any Reiksfort after building an armoury (rank 2).

They can be recruited by the following factions:
  • The Empire (Reikland)


2. Base Stats:

Their base stats are as follows:
  • Stats:
    • Ultra Unit Size: 120
    • Cap: No Cap
    • HP: 8880
    • Armour: 120
    • Leadership: 80
    • Speed: 28
    • Melee Attack: 36
    • Melee Defense: 43
    • Weapon Strength: 49 (16 normal + 33 AP + Bonus vs. Large 25)
    • Charge Bonus: 18
  • Costs:
    • Cost: 1250
    • Upkeep: 325
  • Attributes:
    • Hide in forests
    • Charge Defense vs. Large
    • Encourage


3. Technology and Skills:

The unit is fully integrated into existing technologies and lord skills. They will benefit from the following skills and technologies:

  • Technology:
    • State Troop Standards
    • State-Issued Infantry Armour
    • Improved Heavy Weapons
    • State-Issued Weapons
    • Local Militia
  • Lord Skills:
    • Best of the Empire (Karl Franz)
    • Imperial Special Forces (Karl Franz)
    • Emperor's Finest 1/2/3 (All Lords)
    • Taste for Battle(All Lords)
  • Buildings:
    • Castle Reikguard

i dislike how there is an officer, unlike the other units

I did the tests in custom battles against elves and dark elves and your Reiksguard halberdiers DESTROY both the Phoenix Guard and the Black Guard of Naggarond.

does these mods work with legendary lords added like "swords of the empire" or "mixus legendary lord"??? i know some unit mods dont work in the sense that the new lords skills dosnt effect the new units which makes them weaker in most cases than the base game units.

hello i love your mod one of the ones that finally gives the empire worthwhile infantry but i do believe this needs to be updated because as it seems the reiksforts no longer seem to be a feature of the base game so i usually have a hard time figuring out how to find them just thought it text this out

Love your mods, but 2 suggestions/remarks

1. I get it that the Reiksguard is equipped with the best weapons available, but with
Weapon Strength: 49 (16 normal + 33 AP + Bonus vs. Large 25)
they are more powerful than Phoenix Guard and Chosen of Chaos. I understand that they are Elites, but they are still normal Humans. Staying in line with the +7 Damage increase of sword and shield Reiksguard maybe
Weapon Strength: 35 (10 normal + 25 AP + Bonus vs. Large 20)
would reflect this better?

2. Isn´t 120 men in one unit a bit too much for a Human Elite Unit?

Since you specify Reikland, I won't be able to recruit them as the golden order (Gelt)?

:steamfacepalm:Ok sorry I just checked in game, they do have charge defence against all, remember to update that on the description when you can!
