Mounted Matchlock Samurai

Description
This mod adds a new unit, Mounted Matchlock Samurai. Versatile, decent in both ranged and close combat, with special versions for Otomo and Takeda.

Tokugawa will not have access to the new unit, as their Mounted Gunners is already much better.

Required Gunsmith and Warhorse Stable.

Great mod. I was looking for a way to have mounted cavalry for the Oda clan, this mod achieves that.

@ THEHOLYDAPACKEMPIRE, @ Ca Boong: Balanced the unit, now weaker than Tokugawa Mounted Gunners (except Takeda and Otomo), Tokugawa no longer be able to recruit them (they don't need to).

Otomo version is the same as Tokugawa, Takeda got slightly better melee stats and worse ranged stats than Tokugawa Gunners.

Any problem please let me know.

Please make this mod equal with the tokugawa mounted matchlock cavalry that already exist with the dlc since it seems like tokugawa mounted matchlock cavalry stats are much lowwer than the stats of the mounted matchlack cavalry mod here. Also replace the mounted matchlock cavalry with tokugawa mounted matchock cavalry. Please fix this since the tokugawa mounted matchlock cavalry will become useless.

CA has stopped updating the game long ago, the recent update was for the new launcher. What problem in-game did you have?

This site should offer more help, https://www.totalrtsmods.com/post/how-to-make-custom-units-in-shogun-2-fall-of-the-samurai-10059360 . I haven't play the game for a long time so I can't help you much, sorry.

To edit stats, you can use a pack file manager. I recommend Rusted PackFile Manager (RPFM). Just google it and follow guide on twcenter. A little catch here, "range" stat is tied to projectile, so you have to create a new table if you want to have custom range; otherwise you can only use vanilla-ready projectile.
