Argos Explorer Starter CV

Description
Update: You can find the Argos' big brother, the Theseus Explorer here.
You can find the Argos Transport here.

The Argos clocks in at less than a kiloton. Size class 1, unlocks at level 10.

Despite the small size the Argos has a roomy interior but still manages to pack a lot of functionality into that space.

The Argos includes a warp drive/tank, shower/bathroom, large constructor, armor locker(see if you can find it), oxygen station, a number of cargo boxes, a large o2 tank, 2 fuel tanks, food processor and fridge, lots of seating, an ammo box, a cannon turret, and there's room underneath to dock a small HV. The aft compartment houses the med bay and a section for grow plots. Simply remove the metal grates to install them. The space in the ceiling is for the grow light. Near the elevator door is another metal grate with an empty space underneath....a prime spot to add a repair station.

She's powered by two small generators with room to upgrade them both to T1 generators. The front landing pod has space for another set of thrusters/RCS to match the rear pod(although you probably won't need them). The door in the aft compartment is to provide easier access to the power generators so you can upgrade them. I tested it out and even with the front engine pod fully upgraded you only need one T1 generator to run it.

There are another 11 blocks worth of space for additional components in the aft section, mostly to the sides and above the gravity generator with a little bit of space right above the warp drive so there's room to install more fuel tanks, ammo, o2, harvest boxes, etc.

Hey! I've retrofitted this for Alpha 9 and even scraped off a lot of the cost. I was wondering if you mind me posting the retrofit. Of course I'd link back here and everything. I have two versions to post, a Lunar Expedtion edition with no warp functionality and I'm working on a version where the center section is converted to a small HV bay.

Started another game, and used this again, but this time I stripped out the middle and created a hanger, big enough for a small vessel and a drill miner hover vessel. put 5 turrets on it, and am taking over Akua. Go in, destroy the bases turrets, then bring this thing in, then use the small vessel again as the turrets on this thing take apart the base. Really love this ship. Nice jpb, again..
