ABANDONED MOD: Sandstone Walls

Description
The 0.7 changes have been so extensive that this mod is dead. It will not be revived. A new Sandstone mod will have to be created from scratch. By me or someone!

MOD DEAD: TEXT BELOW JUST FOR HISTORY

***************************************************
UPDATE Oct 2, 2018 -- Reduced building material costs to be more in line with vanilla

***************************************************

With this mod, when you mine sandstone hills and mountains, you get large sandstone rocks, which you can use to build sandstone walls. I have also made it so that the large stones you pick up in the desert are actual sandstones. (The small stones are still just regular stones, so they will still be usable in all the small-stone crafting recipes.)

These new stones work exactly like the regular stone walls, same strength, etc. They just have a new color to blend in better with their environment.

*****************************************************************

*** KNOWN ISSUE: Due to a game bug, fractured blocks take on the regular gray color. I'm talking to the devs about fixes. ***

*** KNOWN ISSUE 2: Can't add Sandstone to stockpiles without breaking other things. Also talking to devs about this. WORKAROUND: You *can* put sandstones into chests & crates. ***

*****************************************************************

I believe that all the stones are now in the mod. All the small & large walls, straight & round, machicolations, ramps, gates, etc. If you see anything missing, let me know!

UPDATE Dec 2, 2017: Added machicolations
UPDATE Nov 30, 2017: Added gate, portcullis, and drawbridge
UPDATE Nov 29, 2017: Added all small & large ledges/platforms, and large battlements
UPDATE Nov 28, 2017: Added all large round walls, doors, windows, shutters, arrowslits
UPDATE Nov 26, 2017: Added all long slopes, including battlemented versions.

Give the CE version a try if you would like to continue playing - it's much improved since the 0.7 update

If anybody would like to do this all over again with the new blocks and new block systems, they are welcome to! It would be literally starting over from scratch. And I can't do it because my computer stopped playing ME well after 0.7 came out and I have moved on sadly.

It's even worse - one would have to do the exact same thing with the new generated blocks as well, which means the same amount of work on top of that

.... sounds like I could do that .....

Stori3d, thanks for the response. Sounds like an immense task. I completely understand. Maybe one day....

I appreciate the idea, and I know the loss of this mod has left some big builds in bad shape. But that idea would still mean copying over the entire complete new block set, pulling all of the old block names in (including the disastrous multiblocks, which don't exist anymore!), cross-checking every name, etc. I wish that the game changes hadn't been so deep for 0.7, and I'm trying to help move as many old mods forward as I can. But Sandstone would just be a complete ground-up rebuild no matter how I approached it, even as a temporary work, and I can't do it with the time I've got.

Suggestion for your Sandstone Mod: Temporarily have it replace sand stone block with non-sandstone block. A temp-fix for restoring old worlds that has a lot of sandstone.

I konw it was not the sandstone walls that caused it :) There were several mod errors of yours, wolfgar's and other mods that were in the error log. I told Wolfgar about it and he fixed his (one was medieval cart, other the spears). He suggested I let you know about the ones I found on yours he thought it would be helpful. Anyways. I am thinking I should uninstall and reinstall the game..
