War of the Chosen CPU Custom Class

Update 15/09/2017

(Bugfix) Added lines to the code that should allow special ammo to be used with HDD.

(Bugfix) Missed shots dealt 2 damage with HDD active. There's now a check to see if you deal damage before applying the +2.

Class Overview

The CPU is designed to be an offensive class, combining the stat boosts gained from their squaddie ability HDD with other skills to power them up and increase their hit chance.

The left tree is focused on abilities that provide strong sources of damage and firepower whereas the right tree leans more towards abilities that compliment both your teammates and the aggressive nature of the CPU class.

Changes From The Original Class

I wanted to take advantage of the changes in WotC, so I have added some new features and tweaks to skills that I felt needed to be buffed from the original versions.

2 new skills on a third skill tree named 'Overclock' - Distant Counter (Major Rank) and Overwhelm (Colonel Rank). Details can be found in the skill breakdown section. They can be purchased with AP.

- Can gain 4 AWC perks. These can be purchased from the training centre with AP (XCOM skill tree).
- Untouchable and Implacable removed from AWC pool for this class.
- Smite now deals damage and has a 50% stun chance. (Will disorient if stun fails)
- Sentient decreases opponent's chance to hit you by 100% instead of a huge armor increase.
- Small spelling and grammatical tweaks.

Skill Breakdown

Squaddie

HDD

Sacrifice 15 Defense (Recovers at the start of the next turn) for +2 damage, +20% Hit chance and +25% Critical Hit chance this turn. This boost can be combined with other abilities. 2 Turn Cooldown. Free action point cost.

Corporal

[Faith Tree] Swiftness

Gain 2 additional points to the mobility stat. This is a permanent, passive stat boost.

[Leadership Tree] Prioritize

Mark a taget, giving everyone (Including yourself) +10 Aim on it. 2 Turn Cooldown. 1 action point cost.

Sergeant

[Faith Tree] Smite

Pistol attack that deals reduced damage (-1 from pistol damage calculation). Has a 50% chance to stun the target. If stun fails, will disorient instead. 3 Turn Cooldown. Ends turn when used.

[Leadership Tree] Part Break

Attack that focuses on breaking foe's armor, shredding up to 6 points. 2 Turn Cooldown. Ends turn when used.

Lieutenant

[Faith Tree] Share Blast

Fire a blast of energy in a narrow, long path in front of you. Can receive +2 damage from HDD too. 100% chance to hit targets in range. Costs 3 ammo. 3 Turn Cooldown. Ends turn when used.

[Leadership Tree] Nep Bull

Self-use beverage that restores 4 health points to the user.
2 Uses per battle. Uses 1 action point.

Captain

[Faith Tree] Implacable

If you score one or more kills on your turn, you are granted a single bonus move. (Vanilla Skill)

[Leadership Tree] Untouchable

If the unit scores a kill, the next attack against them will always miss. (Vanilla Skill)

Major

[Faith Tree] Patience

Wait for an opening from the enemy. This attack deals +2 bonus damage and is guaranteed to hit. HDD will incrase that damage further to +4 bonus damage. 3 Turn Cooldown. Ends turn when used.

[Leadership Tree] Sentient

Decrease enemy’s chance to hit you by 100% for the rest of this turn. Helps avoid death in tight spots. 4 Turn Cooldown. Ends turn when used.

[Overclock Tree] Distant Counter
This Ability can be purchased from the Training Centre with 14 AP.

This unit will fire a pistol shot at any and all enemy units (within direct line of sight) that attack them from range. This shot will interrupt the enemy's action, and you will fire before they do.
(Similar to the Return Fire skill, but can trigger multiple times per turn and triggers before the enemy hits you)

Colonel

[Faith Tree] Next Gen

One of the CPU's Gamechangers. Strike all foes in range with a pistol. Inflicts stun on the first target (If it hits them). 4 Turn Cooldown. Ends turn when used.

[Leadership Tree] Warp

One of the CPU's Gamechangers. Allows the user to warp to another location within their current movement range and ignore overwatch fire when doing so. 4 Turn Cooldown. Costs 1 action point.

[Overclock Tree] Overwhelm
This Ability can be purchased from the Training Centre with 15 AP.

One of the CPU's Gamechangers. Fire four consecutive pistol attacks at an enemy. Each shot suffers -2 damage, but HDD will neutralize the damage. 4 Turn Cooldown. Ends turn when used.

GTS

Histy's Training

Gains a simple +10 to critical chance. This is a passive boost.

Glossary

CPU is a play of words on a computer's "Central Processing Unit" and stands for "Console Patron Unit".

HDD similarly, is a play on "Hard Disc Drive" and stands for "Hard Drive Divinity".

@Mother Night: Console Patron Unit and Hard Drive Divinity(if I recall the second one correctly). It's from the Neptunia-series, and those names for these 2 things are very stupid changes done to terms that originally were "patron goddess"(ok, one word is still there XD) and "goddessform"/"goddessfication". Typical NISA-bullshit. Anyway, that's where the terms come from. :iffy:

I love this class, but just out of curiosity: what do CPU and HDD stand for, please? I tried to look them up, but I haven't found anything that seems to fit.
@JoYmAn: It's written IN THE VERY FUCKING FIRST LINE OF THE FUCKING DESCRIPTION YOU STUPID FRICKING MORON! :WhiteHeartRebirth3:

ok What exactly do this mod? there is no info about what it does

Shredding 6 points of armor on a 2 cooldown seems a bit too overpowered, no?

So lets just call it a draw at this point. PS4= Noire etc. fits them better than to say their the mere PSX (wich she should be just because Tari). Oh and btw. Tari transformed into her next form in that last battle at the true end, thus showing that they KNEW that something would come in the future (wich was only a matter of time btw. she now has a PS4 style console ready to be produced again) Or how do you fit Uzume into it? As Dreamcast? I guess not. She was made for the mere HOPE that Project Dream would be a success!

Yep, and so does the consoles. Or do you REALY think Sony and Nintendo could hide something like that for long IN JAPAN? Plus, if at all, we could stop argue and just say that their the old consoles (PSX, Xbox and Sega Saturn) to be more in line with Tari being the Atari 2600.

Yet remember, those games where made after the PS4 was a known fact, they knew that a new xbox would follow, they even knew about nintendo's plan of making a new, more family oriented one. Thus they knew about a posible future update (btw. being a Vita owner, the joke was ONLY MADE on the VITA version (the one where Uni claims one holds her this very moment) It is also more align with her actual power, being compeatable to Noire in Sister generation (wich by then would be Noire = PS2 against the Vita).

Oh and btw. Sales alone do not show wich console is better. The wiiU might have more sold ones, yet the PS3 was plain better in ALL aspects. I dont even want to compare Switch against PS4, its just plain unfair.

@-=EDF=- Kouta Seto: What's next, claiming the Wii didn't dominate it's generation? Claiming that there is ANY believeable figure showing the X1 outsold the Wii U? (last believeable one says 10 million; for Wii U it's ~13,3 million; MS stopped releasing the sale figures for a reason) Or claiming that Microsoft has good console sales in Japan?

(originally was 1 comment; this is part 2)

@-=EDF=- Kouta Seto: The next form of Blanc is Wii U, stupid idiot...not even an announcment for the Switch existed at that time. Dunno for PS4 announcement-wise, but that's still the normal PS4 for Noire too, not the Pro...which isn't even a new gen. By now, PS4(pro), X1(X) and Wii U are last gen, the Switch is currently the only ninth generation console, no matter what kiddies in denial about the whole conosle-generation stuff think, but 4 years isn't the shortest time a console was their for its gen, and a hardware revision is not a new generation...but hey, keep living in your bubble, since appearently IF/CH are able to see in the future for you, too. (Megadimension came out on the 23rd APRIL 2015, and that's the RELEASE date, not the reveal date of the NEXT forms, which were out AT LEAST 2 months earlier, not to talk about that their also were concept-stages etc. WAY before that...)

Yea sadly in the japanese version their still called Goddesses and not CPU, CPU was only used ONCE in their newest game to make a pun of the US translation(the US translation may be true to what they actualy are (their respective consoles(Wii,Sega Saturn, PS3, Xbox 360(with the next forms being (only for 3 of them) the switch, PS4 Pro and Xbox One(yes the pro was already in development wile the Xbox One X is new and the switch, well, every japanese knew she was comming)yet the translation still remains wrong(their more the patrons of the company's themselfes than the consoles, thus their outmatched by Atari, the oldest and still one of the most influental company's that ever made consoles(with their new one being Tari NextNext (because she actualy transformed to next in Victory). Still nice show of of the modability of this game.
