Update:

- There was a bug with affliction and virtue states. Affliction and virtue wasn't working as intended. Now it should work fine.
- I have integrated the market exchange rate for the heirlooms which should decrease the grinding for upgrading your town considerably.
- Affliction and virtue has been modified to a ratio of 50-50. Before it was affliction 75%-25% virtue. Keep in mind that other invisible factors also effect the affliction and virtue rates like dungeon level, trinkets on heroes etc.

Battles are more immersive now and each Heroes personality will shine more as the intensity of the battle grows. For example, in the vanilla game, The Crusader would easily stress out and would submit in the darkest of hours during battle. He is supposed to be The Holy Knight, a Champion who has held the front lines in a hundreds of holy wars. This mod aims to bring out his true potential. In the face of mounting stress, the Crusader, a Holy Knight, is a leader, standing tall and refusing to break. His unshakable belief can assuage companions fear and lead them to victory !!!. This was just an example for how the Crusader works with this mod. Same goes for other Heroes and their unique personalities.

Sorry guys. So here are the numbers which should clear things up...

Changes For The Crusader:

Holy Lance: 2 Forward self move and can be performed from position 3 and 4.
Inspiring cry: Now removes 25 stress from you or your party members.
Crusader has a high probability of going into virtuous state and inspire your party in the darkest of hours.
If the Crusader goes into the affliction stage, your party will suffer high moral loss and stress ranging from 4-20 each round until you can calm him down. If the light fades.... all shall succumb to the darkness.
Crusader critical hit chance against the undead is increased by 15%

Crusader can easily develop positive quirks like:
Unholy slayer, Unholy Hater, Ruins Adventurer, Unyielding and Warrior of the Light

Similarly Crusader can easily develop negative quirks like:
Heiromania, God fearing, Winded, Night Blindness, Diurnal, Calm and Guilty Conscience

Update:
Bulwark of Faith: Added the ability to riposte and increase torch light
Added a base value of 25% protection due to his heavy armor
Added resistance to bleed and move due to his heavy armor
Speed cannot be lowered as it is already at 1

Changes For Abomination:

Abomination is truly a force to be reckoned with once he transforms into his beast stage. He can easily survive in the darkness and all of his attacks are more deadly than before. Use the transformation stage only when its necessary else your team will suffer heavy stress. Suppressing his terrible impulses can alleviate some of the party's apprehension by 8-12 stress.

Resistance: 70% resistant to poison due to the Eldritch poison coursing through his veins which has given him unspeakable power, at a terrible cost.
Transformation : +5 speed, +20% blight resistance, +10%damage. Transforming into a beast will also scare all the party members and increase their stress from 30-50. Thats a huge amount of stress so be careful when you transform and know when to use it.
Rake: This ability now stacks.
Rage: Now has a 50% chance to do a critical hit.
Absolution: Its will now heal you 8-10 Hp and will remove 25-30 stress.
Slam: Now has a 100% chance to do a critical hit.
Vomit: Can be performed from the 1st three positions hence position 1,2 and 3 and targets the 1st three enemies

Abomination can easily develop positive quirks like:
Deadly, Night Owl, Thick Blooded, Unyielding, Warren and Ruin adventurer.

Similarly Abomination can easily develop negative quirks like:
Nocturnal, Automatonophobia (because he was locked away/isolated and experimented on for untold decades so interacting with humans increases his stress and others around him), Phengophobia, Nervous and Light Sensitive.

Heroes that are effected by this mod: (Updated - February 2023)

- Crusader (Overhaul)
- Vestal (Overhaul)
- Highwayman (Overhaul)
- Grave Robber (Overhaul)
- Jester (Overhaul)
- Arbalest (Overhaul)
- Abomination (Overhaul)
- Bounty Hunter (Overhaul)
- Houndmaster (Overhaul)
- Man-at-arm (Overhaul)
- Plague Doctor (Modded Camping Only). State seems perfect to me. Any ideas are welcome.
- Leper (Modded very minor changes to his stress and camping skills). The rest of his attributes matches his class very well. Any ideas are welcome.


I will not write all the details for each Heroes as it will take too much time. Please play the game and find out for your-self. I will also be updating other Heroes as I play the game more and immerse myself into it.

This mod is compatible with other mods.
This mod is not compatible with mods that modifies the vanilla heroes stats, effects and rules.

@giandan... This could be due to number of things.

1. Could be a stack of stress healing affects on the hero jester like +40% stress heal while using inspiring tunes ability repeatedly.
2. Affect on stress healing on the hero due to camping skills from multiple heroes.
3. Affect of tinkets on jester like stress heal.

Are you running only this mod ? If so, then its due to the above mentioned points.

is it normal that after doying finale, my jester healed 40 stress when i used inspiring tune the turna after? Is it supposed to work like that?

I really enjoy this mod, however, the fact that the virtue/affliction chances gets over 50/50 i think is really OP and I dont like it a lot. It makes the stress a factor i shouldnt care about because the chances are very high.

Makes stress heal characters feel redundant in your team and the hamlet stress activities also feels the same way.

I suggest a lower virtue chance but not 75/25 like the original, maybe 35/65 or 30/70, nerf a little bit of the virtue values and buff affliction values, so getting virtue is not a big deal but getting an affliction is a bit of a problem. That way you will basically care for the stressed characters even if the chances are a little bit higher OR you can flip the coin and hope to get a virtue even if the buffs are not as good as the vanilla values.

Dude, your mod sounds awesome. I know its a bit tedious, but could you just list what it does to each character it affects? don't want to go in without knowing what I'm getting into.

Update: Fixed a few bugs with the Crusader Hero. He should be working as intended. Removed the buggy market exchange rate.
