CS:GO weapon models deprecated?
So for reasons probably beyond Valve's control, the weapon models from CS:GO accompany the updated CS2 models for a wide majority of gun skins that were made prior to CS2's release.

Would it be correct to assume that they're no-longer considering submissions made prior to CS2's release as they would still have been made using the CS:GO gun models? Most likely?

most likely no accept but say if the skin is ridiculously high quality like wild lotus quality in terms of artwork then 1% chance of getting accepted

Actually the chance is still 0%. They will only accept skins made for the new models. In any case you will not be able to inspect and preview your skin properly with the old CSGO models. These models exist only to support the old skins
