> Why doesn't anyone make a Progression mod
Because it's too much work
Basically, most normal Terraria players will actually open up the Terraria Progression Guide Wikipedia, so they can keep track of what is their next upgrades, of course they dont need to force themselves to get every single armor, weapon, accessory ect.
but it does tell them what is next, and of course you have the choice to get it or not, so because players do this as somewhat the norm [literally spoke to 8 of my friends, 7 of them do this, so i wondered if anyone would like the idea of a mod that basically grabs the progression guides into the game itself...tbh, it kinda would be stealing the progression guide and just implementing it inside the game as a mod.
its kinda like the Boss Checklist, so anyone and everyone knows which boss is next, the same can be said that nobody needs to install the boss progression, and just run around and figure it out yourselfs, but a majority of players dont do that <3
ty for your response btw <3
Manually transcribing everything if you want an itemized checklist, lack of automation means keeping up with Terraria updates, becomes irrelevant when using most popular mod, becomes considerably harder to maintain if you include mod progressions, steam overlay and an existing interactive webpage only have a single downside (internet connection)
though, first thought for something automated is a UI that shows bi-weekly screenshots of progression-related wiki tabs and let's you zoom, pan, draw over it & take notes. That's not quite an itemized list and you'd still need a program to take the screenshots, include them into the mod, and then update it, but the only maintenance is running a pc on time.
wiki(dot)gg is fine but fandom is corrupt and anything that hurts their ad revenue is good.
fnei(factorio), nei, tmi, jei(minecraft), recipe browser, cheat sheet, item checklist, and boss checklist all populate their lists automatically
i LOVE that idea, it would even be much easier on the mod developer, screenshots with the capability of zooming and unzooming, ect would be amazing, just shows you what is next, without having to do the entire items one by one <3 genius take <3 :)
