It's a known issue and steam doesn't care or has more important things to resolve.

TRY THIS:
click on LIBRARY
click on ARK
below the GREEN PLAY button is a tabbed menu,
clcik on the 3 dots,
then click on workshop
the search box on the right takes a few tries to get it to work
type in map
hit enter and then click the magnifying glass SEVERAL times.
I had to click on the BROWSE button as well before it worked.
appears to be a tad buggy, if you ask me.

I know its a known issue and in the past it had to be reported to Steam (not Wildcard) for the issue to get fixed. Its an issue with the map tag on Steams end.

I tried your suggestion prior and it works but the issue is I have to search through 52 pages of results. I wanted to /wrists after about 10 pages of crap that had nothing to do with maps. ;)

Does this always work it seems to be some maps are missing as it relies on the word map in the description of the items and seems to sometimes ignore the tag which has been set?
