Draw Fix mod, and a debuff fix mods Ideas
While debuff fix is one easy idea(because debuffs, if overflow some certain threshold(3 row's) will make enemy pages invisible, and made my pages almost unplayable)
So, dont think itll be that hard(if there's nothing more complicated in that, what can be)
.
But the thing iam most passionate about is the "draw fix"
Because, draw in this game functions a little clunky
Pages that are used in a scene, cant be re-drawn, and if you exhausted one page in you're deck so that not card are stuck in 9 slot, every draw page played will draw nothing (if you dont discard anything that is)
And so, if you use 4 pages, with an 8 cards deck(whom can be achieved with single use pages)
Then, you ether will draw up to 7 or 6 instead of 8(but mostly 7...for some reason)
And thus, just negating all the good about intentionally exhausting your deck(consistency)
And it even more breacks characters with speed dice, beyond 4, if they dont have inscribed in them "draw additional pages each scene" to compensate additional dice given
So, ill just say that "maybe, a mod can be made, whom makes the draw that has not drawn, into a "draw next scene" effect"
And itll not work if hand is already full(because you "couldn't" draw with full hand in normal situations, and so, it should not be in effect)
Only the difference in draw, will make it to the next scene(like, if Will of the Prescript, draws you 1 page, and theoretically could draw you another 2 and you had place in hand for them, but you didn't draw them, then those theoretical pages will be drawn next scene
And cards whom "redraw themselves" not doing it, because of the game restrictions, will now genially redraw themselves
And cards wth draw and light restores, will too matter finally when you have a full hand
Because all the draw, could be turned into draw next scene, and thus genially redraw the same pages that triggered this epdraw effect)
And, it not even changes that much...in theory
it needs to be working only for librarians for...just compatibility sake(because most mods enemy's, are not having draw issues, and thus...lets not be this mod applied to enemys, so itll not break anything with normal, or shimmering enemy's)
And, it might need a limit of 6 drawn pages next scene(because with 2 from emotional level 5, itll be a full 8 card hand, and thus you could ACTUALLY play a 8 dice character, and be somewhat sustainable with him)))(because draw would actually make something! And light is the only issue, whom can be reasoned with, by deck's light sustainability)
So...
I dont see this mod, more than of an fix to the game
Because the game's own draw mechanics, punish you for having full hand, or being too relying on a constant 8 page decks
And, fully and completely breaks all more than 4 dice characters if they use all of them and have sustainable deck(because if light sustainability matters, draw doesn't at all! Because if you have full hand, youll not not draw anything, and thus pages with draw will just not have it in conclusion!)
What is...just stupidly sounding to me)(game, punishes you for being too good in it)
And because of that, i propose for there to be made a mod, whom Fixes draw in LoR!
And even if its changing one of the core mechanics, its still an "compatible change" because it doesn't change actually "draw" mechanic at all)(it still clunky, and still doesn't draw when it should not, but itll at least fix the long term consistent sustainability for librarians, and fully fix more than 4 dice characters draw issues (in theory))
Thats all
Thanks for reading
And ill just countine be baffled by the fact, that i overlooked this critical game function
That "pages used cannot be drawn, untill next scene", and thus ruining all the page draw that you use if you cant draw those pages
And even if you play the 9 page deck, itll still be just "a little" more than nothing
Because after this one page has been drawn, all draw later than one, will be fully useless
And thus...i wanted to come up with "something" to do with it, and didn't have any idea, other than using "brace up" in every my deck, because it draws next scene, and discards so other pages could actually draw something...but "deck" building things, are not the topic of this discussion
So, ill just thank for reading this any whom did it, and cut it off now)
Just providing information of this game mechanic, and praying for it to be made a fix of)

I think it doesn't let you draw because the game forces you to have at least 1 page in your deck " maybe idk", You could always just make a private mod for yourself and give everyone Incomplete arbiter to always draw atleast 4 pages at the end of the turn and not worry to much about draw.

or copy and paste brace up on other pages, the custom mod editor lets you do this without needing to make any dll's.

@DoT.
just... even if i had this 1 page, in the end, it would change little
.
incomplete arbiter solutions is a little...too much)
because it would fully invalidate any draw mechanic, and draw sustainability in the game
and the suggestion i bring, is to "make draw that doesn't happen, but theoretically could, into a draw next scene kind of deal"(it even can be like "if no pages drawn, and a hand-size+pages_drawn_next_scene are less than 8, will be added the effect "draw one more page next scene" and it repeats for every single page drawn, and if pages in hand+ pages drawn next scene are equal or more than 8, itll do nothing(because you would not be able with normal draw, to do that ether(draw more than 8) and so, with this one its impossible too) and itll do nothing if amount of pages drawn next scene, is equal or more than 6, so that incredible amounts of draw, would not to much affect it)
i suggest to "fix" it, and not fully delete from the game)

and i wanted to make a fix, whom just upgrades vanilla experience of the game, while not changing core mechanics of the game, but fixing draw in general
a "fix" whom can be applied to the vanilla game, and not worsen or make vanilla sustainability even a little easier to get
itll still not help you at all, if your deck is not sustainable at all
but, itll fix sustainable decks, into working as they have should from the beginning
because pages that "re-draw themselves" are not real))
and its just...stupid? that even if you use all the page-draw pages that you can, you still will be in a situation when you "dont draw enough"
because, it even seem like developers themselves didn't know how draw worked!!
because this one page in the deck that always stays there, is should do the role of "page that will be drawn, with the first draw effect of the scene" and next, the page whom drawn it, will go into discard, and will be drawn next...or its HOW THEY THOUGHT it works!
because it absolutely doesn't work like that!
this one page is drawn, yeah this is right if their seeing)
but the first page used, is NOT discarded into the deck, to be drawn by any draw effect that comes next!
it just stays in speed slot, untill the next scene, when all those pages are placed back into the deck, and then triggers the "start of the scene draw" whom draws those one or 2 pages
and so, if you used all 4 pages, and they all have "draw a page" effect, you still next scene will draw 2 pages, thus having 6 page hand instead of 8 page hand you had previously
and this is, just plain stupid to me!
0sikin0 May 27, 2022 @ 10:44am
and this rework of draw, so that "if it could draw, itll draw it next scene" is just a some sort of an "most harmless fix that i could think of, to fix this all nonsense"
so...i LOVE draw and light mechanics, and this just stupidity in them, just makes me wanting for them to get a fix, so that it will work as it was intended"
and...sorry, but your way of fixing of my problem, is not what i look for(
but, thanks for an purpose for extending my thoughts, and my comment!)

And about the "debuff fix" part
When an enemy has precisely 3 rows or debuffs
All his pages, become invisible, and unselecteble
And if librarian has this 3 rows of debuffs, you CAN EVEN SELECT HIM to chose pages!!
Or see them, at all
And so, this debuff thingy is a...big deal, if you play with mods, whim ether bring new debuffs or inflict a lot of old one's
And so...this is too, IN NEED of an somewhat fix for it!
I absolutely don't understand how to fix this, or why is it happens
And cant help at all with it, but the idea that it exists, and can be fixed by mod, is already given by me
And with draw, i too just provided idea of "maybe" how to fix it, and just tryed to point out that it exists in the first place(because...i dont think much people know of draw, working like that, and so i wanted to be one whom will provide this information to the modders)
