关于壁纸取消订阅后本地文件还在的问题
壁纸取消订阅后,关闭壁纸浏览窗口,再关闭wallpaper engine的后台,取消订阅的壁纸还在本地。关闭重启steam后,取消订阅的本地壁纸文件还没被删除,再打开wallpaper engine,偶尔还会看到取消订阅的壁纸又回来了。自从几个月前买了这个软件后问题一直存在,有没有解决办法?( ´(00)`)(´×ω×`)(*’(OO)’*)

Steam deletes the files. There is a long text in the unsubscribe window that explains how Steam works, please do read it. If you deleted them from Windows Explorer you have broken Steam now. This totally confuses Steam and Wallpaper Engine is not responsible that you did this and caused bugs in Steam.

You can use the Steam function to verify files and then wait patiently until Steam sorted out the mess.

In the future you must not delete the files yourself or Steam will of course download them again. Only unsubscribing will stop Steam from downloading. Then restart the PC if you want Steam to delete them more quickly.

Close all games and makie sure you are not 'in-game'. Then use the verify local files option. You must wait for additional time after it finished because it does not show the time needed to verify Workshop. With thousands of wallpapers, wait an hour to be sure and don't do anything in Steam.

If your Steam just won't behave, you can use files directly in Wallpaper Engine too and not rely on Steam. You can use drag and drop, you can copy all items at once like this: https://wallpaper-engine.fandom.com/wiki/Backup_Steam_Workshop . Everything is possible, except that Wallpaper Engine cannot fix Steam.

You can do that but it shouldn't require that much performance in the first place. It might be due to a badly optimized Workshop wallpaper or your performance settings like setting the FPS limit incorrectly.

The Intel GPU is good enough for the stock scene wallpapers for example, it shouldn't reach 100% with them unless there is something wrong - either with the settings or the PC, like running a screen recording program in the background.

30 FPS is good. Still, 100% GPU is too much for an Intel HD 630. It could be an unoptimized wallpaper or a general problem like I mentioned. For example, 30 FPS and the 'fantastic 3D car' stock wallpaper should not result in 100% usage. Or is it a 4k screen and you chose 8x MSAA?

DWM usage is expected to increase. It displays all windows including the desktop and icons.

There is no virus. With every update I release I check anti-virus programs for faulty reports.

But what if the anti-virus program is updated any time? I cannot prevent that at all. All files are checked and certified by me and you will have to tell the anti-virus program to ignore Steam's installation path and games completely.

Wallpaper Engine receives many updates and anti-virus developers do not do a good job with heuristics detection.

I described this before, Steam has a bad download system. You have to understand that I did not develop Steam, the company named 'Valve' has made Steam. I am aware that Steam is bad at downloading many Workshop files. I have told Valve on countless occasions but they do not respond.

It is important that users send feedback to Valve directly if you want to see improvements in Steam, sending this feedback here on Wallpaper Engine will not change anything because Valve does not look here.

The browse window is not supposed to stay open. Are you keeping it open to track hours in Steam?

The resolution does not belong on web or app wallpapers or for old wallpapers. It has not existed since the first day and Steam does not allow me to calculate it for old uploads.

There is only a parallax checkbox. If there is a problem with the range, the author should fix it in the wallpaper. Unless you mean the behavior with multiple displays.
