one thing that really anoys me is that there are nine not ten you guys tell me what a new class wolud be called and what wepons
will it have and other detalies and also need
a campain or gamemodes like hide and seek or
gun game or maybe castle defence

WAIT... team fortress 2 has 12 letters in it, and there are nine classes... 12-9=3... I DID IT, GUYS!!!! TEAM FORTRESS 3 IS CONFIRMED!!!
I honestly don't see any room for a 10th class.

Where would it be at? Support? offensive? Defensive? and what role will they fill? What counters will it have and what can it counter? There just isn't much of a reason for a 10th class.

If valve finds a way to add one without breaking the game then it's fine by me. Now the only problem would be the flood of people spamming that class because its new.

having 10 mercs would ruin the lore and everything. but for TF3 if you have been reading the comics I am thinking maybe it will be the classic mercs vs the tf2 mercs

Team fortress is a game serie with 9 classe,EVERY team fortress MUST stay with 9 class. Team fortress quake,classic,and the 2 MUST stay with 9 class. Tf2 isnt tf2 if there are no 9 class. A 10th class would break ALL the game and this is unacceptable.

This already been discussed by valve before (i forgot where i saw this question and response from them) and they said no.
The 9 classes are brokwn down into 3 categories, Attack, Defense and Support. If Valve ever decided to add a new class, they would add one to each category to keep things even. So it's not a matter of a 10th class being added, but a 10th, 11th and 12th, one for each type. So how now brown cow?

NO I THINK IT IS FINE AS IT IS
Team Fortress did NOT in fact, always have 9 Classes. People may not know this, because the history is blurred, but the Spy, for instance, was originally a GLITCH, not a class (TFQ). Not to forget that Team Fortress Classic ended up a game where people only seriously played the Medic, making the defacto class count ONE. Valve won't add more classes to Team Fortress 2. Map balance alone makes it to daunting, not to mention the variety of other balance factors. They May still add the classic team in, one way or another, but that's not really "New Classes." It would be as simple as Pyrovision altered slightly. Not the same thing.

As far as new Class ideas for Team Fortress 3, my personal design count is now at 21 (that's in addition to the original Nine.) This keeps it balanced, by always developing ideas in sets of 3, so you have an Offence, Defence, and Support class each. I may get around to posting my ideas on this at some point, but people are genuinely disinterested in classes for some reason. At least beyond jokes and assault rifles. Valve, I'm sure, is quite different.

I have some great ideas for a tenth class.

"The Electritian"
Similar to the Pyro, he uses a form of electrical gun, that causes electric shock damage for an extended amount of time, and does more damage to those in water. They could also have a smg for their side arm and have a whip for their melee, and a variation could be a power line cord.

"The Carpenter" (AKA Miss Pauling)
Like the Engineer, she can build things. But what she builds are barriers that take wood to either block the path of enemies, to provide cover for support troops, or to even set up traps that when the apposing class encounters them, they die. The Carpenter could have a M14 style assault rifle, that fires faster than a sniper rifle and longer than a shot gun, but slower than a machine gun, sort of at about revolver speed or scattergun speed. She uses a Self-Defence Magnum for her side arm, and a hammer for her melee.

I'm not sure an M14 would fit with the games art style, but OK.
