Description
Realistic Vehicle Lights enhances the visual quality of all vehicle lighting in the game, delivering a more immersive and authentic driving experience.

The mod overhauls light behavior and appearance with carefully tuned effects, making headlights, taillights, indicators, and other light sources feel closer to real-world vehicle lighting.

Key Features:
- Custom high-resolution light flares designed for realism
- Extended and balanced light visibility distances
- Enhanced light reflections for improved depth and atmosphere

These improvements are applied consistently across player vehicles, AI traffic, and various in-game objects, ensuring a unified and realistic lighting system throughout the world.

Perfect for players who want a more believable night drive and higher visual fidelity without altering gameplay mechanics.

Supported Game Version(s)
1.61.x - 1.60.x

✨ New: Dynamic Flares for American Truck Simulator

Looking for an even more realistic lighting experience?

Dynamic Flares is my latest lighting mod for ATS, featuring bloom-based dynamic flares that adapt to the shape of each light source. Unlike traditional static flare textures, lights appear more natural and realistic up close while maintaining excellent visibility at long distances.

@Frkn64, I've noticed turn signal flares for trailer lights don't appear brightly during the day and at night the flare isn't noticeable like it is with car or truck traffic.

@sjhj1980 You don’t need to adjust anything in the game settings, the mod just needs to be activated in-game. If the headlights still look the same, it might be conflicting with another mod. Are you currently using any other mods that affect lighting or visuals?
