Stats tracker for Hunt: Showdown 1896
Hello there! Today, I want to introduce you the thing that the game has been missing for a long time. So, Hunt: Showdown 1896 stats tracker: https://bayouledger.com

The Hunt's community previously had some kind of stats tracker, and some of you may remember how it worked. Shortly, it relied on the attributes.xml local file and a piece of software everyone had to run locally. Sounds far from ideal, but it was at least something. This file then gone and all tracking opportunities went with it.

Stay tuned on https://t.me/bayouledger Telegram channel and https://discord.gg/8et3m7WPhH Discord channel. There you also can reach me directly, report bugs, ask for features and leave feedback as well.
The Bayou Ledger
Takes a different approach: it collects stats not from your local data, but directly from game servers (Crytek team, please read the note). There is no software running on your PC, the only thing needed is Steam OpenID authentication. The only thing Ledger gets is your Steam ID.

We manage a list of players and sometimes pull their snapshots, save them, and then calculate various things like charts, history, and so on. Although there is not a lot of information available, it's enough to build many things. So far, the core functionality is:

Roster - it's the whole list of all tracked players. It's intended as a starting page for the tracker, as well as the global leaderboard and a place to search for a specific player. It also can be filtered by season. If you want, you can remove yourself from the roster listing.

Dossier: per-player statistics. Contains everything we have on you, per-stat leaderboards, charts, playstyle report, match history and more. Can be filtered by season as well.

Watchlist: your place to build your own leaderboard.

Pulse: global charts, live feed, big per-player milestones.

And there is much more inside, it's easier just to go and try. Besides the core I mentioned above, I want to highlight the following features:

  • Ability to filter your stats by season. It means that you can now see your per-season performance and check, for example, your real KDA right "today".
  • The same filtering can be applied to the whole roster or watchlist. This way you always can compete in leaderboard even when global one is unreachable.
  • Playstyle archetypes - your Hunt-themed playstyle description, based on your performance. May not match your exact playstyle, just a thing for fun.
  • Your per-session results are available at dossier page. Now you can check how good or bad a certain session was, how many hunters you killed and so on.
  • Bounty Hunt / Clash MMR, KDA charts.

And overlay for steamers, which shows the details of current session. Some customization is available as well.

And more is coming soon.
Privacy concerns
As previous tracker was closed because of "privacy concerns" (c), we provide a lot of features to opt-out from any tracking. Here are some of them, but not limited to:

  • Not logged in = not tracked. There is no way to being tracked by someone, and you will be tracked only if you wanted this yourself. Note: there is a 2.5k random sample players which I've auto-populated for the time of development.
  • In-game "hide my profile" switch is respected. If you have this flag enabled, you're invisible for the tracker.
  • You can opt-out from literally everywhere: global leaderboards, hide your dossier from public, hide your match history and more.
  • If you done with tracker, you can delete all your data with a single button.

Maybe it's too much as for a game tracker, but here I just want to stay as low as possible and don't mess with any possible privacy policies we don't know about.
Note for the Crytek team
Although I use the API which likely wasn't intended for external usage, I really hope that you won't ban me and wont take any actions to shut this down. It's not some your "private" API I hacked or something: it's the same API the game uses itself. I'm 2k hours Hunt player and I really enjoy this game. I don't want to harm it or whatever. Many games have stat trackers and many games are open for community-built contributions, and there is nothing bad in this. Besides that, I assure you that:

  • I don't abuse any unrelated functions. That's the API which the game uses itself and I use it only for the purpose of retrieving stats snapshots.
  • I don't DDoS API. Ledger's algorithms are highly-optimized and I do roughly 1-2 RPS on the 2.5k players roster.

Additionally, as previous tracker was closed with some "privacy" reasons, this one respects players' privacy really much. See "Privacy concerns" section above.

That said, I'm open for any discussions on resolving any possible issues. Furthermore, I really hope you'll enjoy this as well, and maybe we even can discuss exposing some more information on your end to make the tracker even more exciting. Feel free to contact me.

@stab I'm thinking in this direction, but yet I'm deferring actions in this direction while Crytek is uncertain about our future. Once they decide to let us live, likely I'll look into this more precisely.

Do I understand correctly that the server is located in Russia, meaning the site will be inaccessible from Ukraine? Is this taken into account and will it remain this way, or is there a possibility of changes?:P5R_Haru:

Basically, the people with over 2KDs should be looked into for cheating. I wish Crytek would do their jobs instead of allowing these cheaters.
