Is there a way to make bots buy and use custom weapons? And if yes can someone explain please

How do you actually make this work?I downloaded it and it appears in the mutator list as KillingFloorMut, i cant configure anything and bots dont spawn at all.Any pointers?

Jan 2023, the bots mod worked for me right out of the workshop. No download required (but mods take a while to download for this game, not sure why). Top right of game at start screens shows mod download completion.

Right-click and save as. Download link might be marked as unsafe by your browser or av.

The download link is still functional on the forum, however anti-virus may automatically block it as "untrusted" download.

Anybody got an alt download?

I don't even know what to do to get this mod working anymore. I manually did it too. It was a good mod while it lasted. Its just not there anymore. Its gone. This was the only thing keeping me from uninstalling the game. My girlfriend won't get to experience it either but its whatever. KF2 is better. Life goes on. (5th mod in the workshop in general I love that is no longer working for me. RIP. 2022 is some sad times. 2014 were the days)

Is there any way to make the bots unable to use a weapon? I have some ammo turrets and portal turrets that they keep buying but won't place them. So for the rest of the game they'll be just carrying them around.

FYI, you can (still) order bots around via chat or team chat by typing the following:

follow / hold / free Bot_Name or CALLSIGN

You can also order the entire squad by typing "all" (without quotes) in place of the bot name or callsign. (eg; follow all)


Also, Detail's link does work but some browsers may flag it as dangerous. Seems fine in the in-game steam browser.

The mod works pretty well.

The main problem I have is that they don't tend to conserve their ammo at all; demolitions and sharpshooters will waste their precious ammo on weaker enemies like clots and gorefasts and then they get overwhelmed when their better weapons are actually needed for enemies like scrakes and fleshpounds. As a matter of fact, from what I've observed the bots will go through all of their primary ammo before they switch to weaker weapons.

It does work. You can use it in single player or multiplayer if you host your own server. I think the bots only give you money when you have none at all, not when you are low.

i think the reason for this not being whitelisted would be on how the bots do most of the dirty work LMAO

Boogey & Marco, If that doesn't work, I got this weird but effective solution...
For some reason there can only be one subbed item at a time. (Atleast for me)
Check your subbed items and identify which ones are not downloaded.
Uncheck/unsubscribe to every one that is installed and boot up KF.
It will download/install one at a time, unsub from the recently installed mod.
Make sure to favorite every subbed item so you won't loose track of them.
Keep doing that method above until every mod is installed.

It's TWI's bad workshop installer, try restarting KF couple of times and it should pop up in the mutator list.
