Use Custom Effect Loader instead this mod if it's buggy enough.

@Captain Toof I am aware, but as I said, the blending fog makes the counter direction bleed over the edges. The only way to prevent that is to remove the fog entirely, but then the lights no longer "glow" and instead appear to be self illuminated cones (that's the way lights work in CS)

Ok, just by intention of that module red light should be covered from above. It is for counter direction.

@Captain Toof that's from the blending fog that the game uses for lights. The red and green are blending together to form a dull yellow. It's the best that can be done given the way lights work in the game.

@Captain Toof that’s because they use the custom light effects mod. If you don’t have it installed / enabled, they won’t light up. That mod is not considered stable though, and I don’t have time to convert the lights right now.

Yeah, it’s an undertaking. The network-based lights are a lifesaver, tho. Can’t wait to see what the next thing will be.

Will the lights in this pack ever be switched over from CLE to some other mod, so they light up but don’t crash the game?

@Captainklums I may have misunderstood your question. The mod listed as a prerequisite here is buggy and causes performance issues (it was a hack to begin with). There is a new mod available that provides the same functionality which is stable. The lights in this asset pack which use the broken mod will not light up with the new one, but they shouldn’t pose any asset conflicts. So if you use the new mod with this asset pack, the game should be stable. Hopefully that helps.

@Captainklums I haven’t updated the custom lights to work with that mod, so you would loose some of them (they won’t light up). There shouldn’t be a mod conflict though.

@alborzka Theese are custom colored lights, which require the custom light effect mod. The other lights use the vanilla effects and attach them to new props, allowing them to be manually placed and still shown with my airport road light remover mod. If you use these, note that they are not as efficient as the vanilla ones, and might slow down your game when placed.

That's very strange.... You can use my other runway threshold lights (which are red) and use the vanilla lights. Those will probably not cause any issues (so it's not a total loss).

I have the main beacon, the yellow and white runway light, and the red/green end lights. I'll drop the red and see if that helps.

How many custom lights do you have active (in the content manager)? As I said, the more you have, the more unstable the game will be.

@SavingPilotRyan The game can be very unpredictable at times. There have been times where I had to do a clean install to fix an issue. So from what you are saying, the lights now work?

I don't know how I was finding that relationship, but it was consistent when I would turn them on/off. Disabling and re-enabling didn't work, but unsubscribing and resubscribing worked.

@SavingPilotRyan It's not going to conflict with more beatification or the 81 tiles. I have no idea why it's not working for you though. Try disabling all of the assets that use the custom light mod, and then add them back one by one. It's possible that one of the assets is causing issues.

I cannot get the lights from this or the beacon pack to light up. I have the Custom Light Effects installed but I'm getting crashes from it. It's conflicting with either more beatification or 81 tiles, so I am running it without 81 tiles. Still nothing is lighting up.

@Wzl I'm not a professional either, nor a pilot. I think the FAA and ICAO do a pretty good job to make their documents understandable. They may seem a bit overwhelming, but it's mostly just finding the diagram that looks like your case, which doesn't actually require you to read anything (except for maybe color symbols and dimensions).

ah nice! well if they (the green centerline lights?) are causing game to crash and negatively effect the performance then im guessing i won't be using them in the end. If you're uploading the other variants that, if i understand correctly, are at least containing green light i'll probably just use them instead.

@Essad I already made them, as well as YY, YG, WR (and I think a few more variants). I also made bluer taxiway edge lights. However, they are hard to see, and they will negatively effect the performance of the game, so I am thinking about not uploading them / using them. When I was working on a test airport for some screenshots, my game crashed a few times, which I think was due to the lights... Also, not all commercial airports have taxiway centerlines.
I can still upload them if you would like, but keep in mind what I just said (I would probably only upload the GG, YG, YY, and edge lights).
