I would like this with a few changes: Relative to bag on place instead of table space. On mouse over of place, shows zone that the contents will be placed. Items in bag can't be pulled out one at a time (place out copies, deletes on remove). Initial bag shows Setup, after click goes to Submit/cancel. After submit, only ever shows 1 button (Place <-> Remove). On setup, recursively takes ids of each card/object within decks/containers so it can correctly remove the separated components.

Is there a version of this that remembers positions relative to the bag? rather that positions on the table?

I have an issue with this, granted might actually be a VR issue, but when I "place" stuff from the bag (in this case a Board and some token place on the board), the tokens drop right though the board :/ it only does that in VR

So i have a bag containing tiles in the memory bag. I added a script the the recall button to put back tile in the nonmemory bag as the nag is being drag in memory bad but when i do press place, its like the tile didnt actually reach the non memory bag and just vanished :/

Is there a way to get objects with attached objects working? A common thing done with models is attaching a base to them, or magic effects. And so far it doesn't work, even with other equivalent mods, they just end up stuck to the top of the bag, and if theres many of them, they end up in a jumbled mess that cant be grabbed or moved.

@gfeather u should change code in the object it deploys. if it's normally invisible then there is some mistake that does not cover when it is spawned.

Is there a way to save the alpha information on the object so when it deploys it's still invisible? Using it to deploy effets, but the white cube is not that appealing :).

Any tips on how to deal with attached objects? I know this was called out in Feb, and it doesn't seem like an easy thing to address in the script...just wondering if you've thought about this at all. Thanks for the amazing tool!!!!

Whenever I press setup the bag just disappears after a split second? Any idea why?

@WalBanger -UK- All bags remove the linking tool binds on objects once placed inside. There's no way of fixing that since there's no procedure for keeping such data once stored. The main point of using a bag is to lower the number of assets required to be loaded and part of the compression procedure strips linking tool data as it is temporary. Hope that's useful for others as well.

For all of you that are asking:-
Things get knocked over if items are ATTACHED (so if you put arrows in a quiver and attach them,, or a door on to a door frame, or weapons on a weapon rack, Flames coming out of a Dragons mouth, etc)....... it does NOT like attached items...

So, sorry but you cant use them.

Hopefully he will see this and fix it...


Also maybe add a Feature to Add 2 or more bags together for a few items you might of missed 1st time.

Hey ever since the last update the bag no long places or recalls objects or even sets up correctly. it states: "Error in Script (Memory Bag Name - d14543) function ,buttonClick_place.: Object reference not set to an stance of an object <2>".

Apparently this issue is "network" wide for anything using memory bags. Arkham LCG, Dice Throne, Gloomhaven etc.

@Boozebeard so far no, just recall and place although shuffling would be nice. You could place bags you want shuffled on a platform to setup, recall the bags and then put the auto shuffle doughnuts where the platforms were. That would shuffle the bags at least.

very good bag. Though sometimes objects don't get placed back in the same orientation they were in when the bag was set up

Can this place them back randomly? I need to collect a a bunch of tiles, shuffle them and then put them back in the same pattern (but shuffled).

but is there anyway we could change the Bag to an Icon or Object....
Id love to make a card (for example) with a picture of Mission 1 on it and you click that to open mission 1.... then another card with Mission 2 etc.... so you can just look at the picture and you will instantly know which one is which....

because at the moment it looks like il have to put down 20 Bags lol

Hi all! Two questions for this amazing mod and then two requests from the amazing script community out there:

1. Is it possible to script in the ability to select the green boxes via a mouse drag? Clicking every square, as I'm sure everyone who uses this amazing mod or has tested know, is quite time-consuming. Having the ability to drag over them and select would be powerful! If you can’t currently do this, can someone help me figure out how to script that into the bag?

2. How do you select Custom PDF (via imported components) with this tool? Essentially I have a bunch of imported PDFs organized on the tab for rules that I would love my players to be able to push in and out of this memory bag. If you can’t currently do this, can someone help me figure out how to script that into the bag?

I found that it's the PDFs specifically that throw things around badly.
Will have to play around a bit more to figure something out.

Palce the Bag rely low or realy high in the middle of the table! As soon as the objects spawn they have collision and can sometimes knock down other stuff, but still to good not to use.

@MrStump, cool item, but I'm getting an issue where it's knocking other things over that are already located on the table between the target location and the bag. Any idea how to get around this?

directsun's update of this mod makes it even more fantastic. Thanks to you both.

Anyone know of a way to turn memory bags into buttons?

Would love the ability to recall table setups, items, games, etc but not have a ton of bags all over the place. A row of buttons embedded into a command console would be slick. When using bags as buttons things fall into them or users click the setup button all the time.

If there's already a way to do this via another method that's cool too. Thanks!

If anyone has an idea on how to change the model for this it would be really appreciated. I am using the PackUP bag mod wich is fantastic in general and it features boxes I can put textures on. Makes it much easier for me to see whats where.

@MrStump I have a question, can you save other properties other than position and rotation? I have some items that have the .attachInvisibleHider that I would like to save but it wont. What I'm doing is a setup by using your bag with some DnD items that are hidden to certain individuals until something happens. I got the items to start as invisible until I hit a a button than it appears for people. However I can't seem to get these items to be invisible after I package them into the bag. I'm a newbie at scripting in tabletop simulator and just need some input please. Thanks in advance.

any idea as to how much strain this causes on the host? I have a friend that does dnd and we have to watch how many objects there are out at a time or he'll crash

Does it work for locked items?
cause for what I'm making, I sometimes give things certain rotations that make the colliders clip, and I don't like massive explosions throwing my models and dice all over the place...

I'm not sure how, but I managed to assign the contents to the bag reliably, but now when I recall them, the game completely crashes. Wonder if it has something to do with the character sheets or the dice roller?

Unity keeps crashing when I try to save the bag's contents...If I keep trying, it will eventually work but it crashes to the desktop pretty often.
Only when I'm assigning contents, when I click Submit.

I'd greatly appreciate another button to add to the bag's selected objects. I use this to build DnD sets with 200+ objects. So sometimes the buttons get hidden inside other objects and I miss them, having to completely reselect everything. In fact I just lost a set I worked 4 hours on trying to cumulatively add more objects to the bag after i missed a few. Just a QOL update that I think would make many people enjoy this fantastic mod that much more.

Having an issue where hitting "setup" causes the bag to disappear, reappear about a quarter screen away, and all the select buttons that should appear overtop of object appear displaced by the same distance the bag teleported by. Anyone else have this/any tips to fix it? It's only happening on one of my setups so I imagine it's interacting poorly with something else, just can't figure out what.

May i use this in a mod? Im helping with putting together HeroQuest Master Edition, and am also working on creating a new Space Hulk mod, and this little magical bag would be positively perfect for so many things. Credit of coarse will be given.
and id like to request a way to lock the bags setup button, to prevent accidental button clicking by people who dont know what theyre doing XD
