Might want to take a look at the Voidborne's Void Cannon. Every time I go to try and use it, my entire game freezes up, and I cannot figure out why it does that for the life of me

EX: Marbleman_-_Example_Ship_08/2018_8:00PM_(2000p). in this case, delete everything but "Example_Ship". then, add the facton id before the ship name like this: "(Faction Id Here)_Example_Ship.lua". DO NOT DELETE THE .LUA PART OF THE FILE NAME! this will cause the ship to not load. now, if you go into sandbox, and if youve done this correctly, and you type fleetpalette (faction id here), then your ship should show up. Hope this helps!

you must build them in the sandbox mode. once youve built your ship, select it, and type in console: export "ship name here" "author name here". make sure they are both in quotes, otherwise the computer will get confused. now, close your game, and you should see the ship file on your desktop. open your faction folder once more, and make a new folder, name it ships. open this folder, and drag the ship file into the folder, then, right click on the ships file, and click rename... delete everything in the file other than the ships name.

next, open rwdk (make sure ur using the chrome browser, as it doesnt work with other browsers) go to each category, and click save. EX: blocks category, click save, a blocks.lua file should appear in the bottom of the window. do this for each category except the ships category. you can drag these .lua files onto the desktop... now, open the factions folder located in the mods folder you just made, and drag and drop each .lua file into it. now, you can enter the sandbox mode, and type in the console: palette(faction id here). you cant type fleetpalette(faction id here) yet, because you dont have any ships!

you must first make a mods folder, it must be made in the reassembly folder, which can be accessed by opening the file manager, finding steam>steamapps>(account name here)>savedgames>reassembly. once ur there, right click in the window and click new folder, name it mods. then open the folder, and make another new folder in the mods folder. name it whatever ur factions name will be. you will put your blocks.lua, factions.lua, and regions.lua files in here.

btw, sheilds CAN be made invisible/highly opaque.

when your choosing the sheild color, theres an opacity slider. try fiddleing with it, you should eentually get some very opaque or even invisible sheilds.

well i guess i still do have a question... when ur using ttftcuts's modding tool how do u make the block scaleable... like you can rescale it in-game

i was wondering if u could help me... im making a mod and i put the files in C drive, users, (user name here), savedgames, reassembly, mods, xzotanese empire. then the blocks.lua, factions.lua, regions,lua is in there... ik that the game reckognized theyre there because im able to see the option to select them from the start game screen... but when i try to pull up their palette (i set them to faction 50 so it should be palette 50) and i get nothing.... help?

and shields are a balancing thing but will think about adding a shield to Dust Pirates and Ancient republic because they seem quite weak right now + i hate how shields cannot be made invisible

Also all of your factions need shields, armor tanking doesn't work against explosions.

The Aetherborn can't generate energy beyond their base block.

with the cannon the thing is i think recoil is auto generated so i dont think i can't actully change a specific weapon's recoil. but one of my designs had 2 of them 1 shooting fowards 1 backwards making recoil not a problem.

and with the drones even tho drones and missles are my favorites i dont realy understand anything. maybe someone more skilled could investigate.

@doomslayer: i do appreciate the help in pointing out that theres a mod out there that makes the recoil 0, however im afraid if i download it then all the weapons will have no recoil... and i just dont think thats right... so i probably wont download and i just wont use that SANIC canon (ima nickname it that from now on :3). but im still glad that your trying to assist people instead of beating them down :/.

i come with a bit of a bug report.... the voidborns drones dont shoot, the tinkerers drones dont shoot, some of the swarms drones dont shoot. and the atherborns drones havent shot anything... ive put all of ur factions through multiple fights in the sandbox and not once have i seen any of said factions drones shooting... do you have an idea on whats causing this?

but i LOVE the lore and the factions all to death.... every single one is so unique... i could probably say that weve never seen any faction like these... and i can say that for every one that you made... bu some of the factions dont have a lot of designs..... maybe you want help wih that?

well the idea was voidborn thrust>torque and aetherborn thrust<torque cuz they like oposites and stuff

Love the aetherborn! They need WAY more thrust on their blocks, though!
