Lol when I first played Skyrim and heard of Shor's Stone, I was like "here must be a rock!" but no. Makes so much sense thanks!

either way it does look better with the way you have put the stone,kinda like a town meeting place, and a place to relax.

Well, you all might to be right, I made this mod only for testing the CK and no interest in the lore ;) The mod is more a joke and hey, 54 people added this joke to their favourites! :D

As I recall, there's a book in Skyrim that talks about a meteor (not the books words of course) crashing down where the town is now. You'd think there'd at least be a crater there, if not a stone like this.

In Tamrielic lore the mineral ebony is beleived to be the fossilised blood of the gods. The settlement exists to serve the ebony mine, hence the name Shor's Stone.

Always thought it was an oversight that they had no stone in the town, almost as bad as the Salmo the baker shop being locked in Oblivion :P

@Zenny8 I think it's called Shor's Stone because of the ebony mine.

"I always wondered why the village is called Shors Stone and all in all there wasn't anything like that. Riverwood is called riverwood because it's at a river in a wood; dragon bridge is called dragon bridge because there's a bridge and so on, but at shors stone there isn't any stone or something like that."
