@Appareson The star forge mod is balanced for vanilla gameplay. This mod creates a similar object however it is balanced for a mod that didnt previously have a megastructure like this.

@Livnthedream Stars are made out of a huge amount of matter. Mostly hydrogen at the surface but a lot more heavy elements as you get closer to the core. Hell pretty much all heavier elements then hydrogen are formed at the heart of a star up until iron on the periodic table. The idea of this and similar mods is that you are harvesting the core of the star for materials. Since a star is generallly so big it wouldn't affect the star too much adversely over the course of a stellaris game though it would cause the star to shrink over time.

These don't make any sense though. There is a mod that adds a planet cracker, that breaks down planets while generating minerals that does though.

How is this different from the Star Forge mod?

Keep up the good work.

Eh dont worry about It. Your mod space your rules. That said when I get past my exams I have a couple of extra ideas for megastructure addons that might work with your mod. For example a megastructure that makes all planets in a system barren but terraformable. Anyways thanks for the inspiration and I'll see you on the other side XD.

As the author of Better Balanced Ascension Perks and Megastructures, I apologize for my actions on my comment thread. I had a knee jerk reaction to advertising that was undeserved and I responded inappropriately.
