this mod is strange first time i used it it worked fine but now it keeps crashing my game which is sad since on larger planets the world feels a bit empty

It says this mod is outdated so it isnt working with 1.0. I'm just curious about a fix anyone has or if there will be an update?

This mod still works on 1.0 as intended on certain seeds , adding more and more bases. Just it fills the debug log with lots of red errors due to cross-reference problems and sometimes bugs completely out on other seeds, just keep trying different seeds. Any factions that already exist on the selected world seed will just get multiple bases.

Okay, out of curiosity how would you reduce the number of faction bases spawned?

The mod shouldn't affect the overall chance of raids, the storyteller doesn't take the number of factions into account iirc. So the amount of raids will stay the same. However, this mod will make it less likely that you are raided by any particular faction since the storyteller has more potential hostiles to choose from when a raid event triggers.

Weird bug trying to create worlds, if your change any of the base settings the planet stops generating factions and you can only get factions back by exiting creation and trying again without changing temp rainfall or coverage

@RadBroham Raids are seldom if you have enemy bases far from your spot. And more caravans if you have friendlies on close by. Well that was my hypothesis on how my game is going. Better do some more testing on that.

im getting no raids at all and im on Randy Random Intense. Im sure this mod has something to do with it so please fix this issue by increasing the raid spawns. Thanks

Can you make a more dangerous version please?

This is yours:
outlander Factions that will spawn from 1 to 5.
Tribes Factions that will spawn from 1 to 5.
Pirate Factions that will spawn from 2 to 4.

But you just extend basegame role it would be:

1to5
1to5
and 2to10

@Clausewitz you can prob do it urself if its in a xml as said above. All you gotta do is open the xml file using notepad++ (or something similar) and change what you want.

Not to worry, dosn't really matter to me who uses which mod. Just that everyone get the mod they want. Yours is balanced a bit differently, and i think it's good to have a bit of variety to choose from.

Ah you see fewer bases per extra factions is exactly what counterracts the lag I was worried about. I understand completely now, thanks!

I much prefer a large number of factions with fewer bases. It makes where you are and how you treat people feel more significant.

@GharGhul I haven't done extensive testing on it. However I did notice that as the number of factions increase, the number of bases generated per faction decreases. Ex. none modded has 5 factions each having around 20 bases each. While modded has 14 factions with around 4 to 10 bases each. I'm guessing that this might be an A17 thing to avoid the crowdedness that results from an increased number of factions.
