Yeah, that would work. I think I know how I'd set it up, but I currently don't have the time to do it. Pandemic is Magic took a LOT of time and effort. But it's a good idea :)

I just thought of a new scenario that could use the Himiko virus from the latest Tomb Raider movie. Since it made people into zombies and killed very quickly, it could be set to use the Necroa template.

This is a fanwork inspired by the MLP fanfiction 'Pandemic' by ASGeek2012 on fimfiction.net . 'Pandemic' is the sole work of ASGeek2012. A mix of my own ideas and his.

@ggrommes Nah, you aren't. But it was good fun to make, based on an MLP fanfic. Took forever to make, but the aim was to make it enjoyable even without MLP knowledge.

Regrettably there aren't. There is another version of this scenario that has some unintended effects ironed out, is better balanced and has a few new (minor) things added. Due to a few requests you can also chose your starting country in that one. The other version exists because I can't access the first version (this one here) in the scenario editor anymore. That's a bug that the support team said they could reproduce but can't fix.

@Dragonborn Yeah, it bugs me a little that the two versions have around 3000 subs between them. Had it stayed only one version, it would have been a lot higher on the popular list now. Anyway, hope you like it with gene selection and country choice.

Sounds good to know. Hopefully this one garners more subs. Honestly, gene selection balances it out, as I could never get a good ending, or even kill everyone.

@Dragonborn Got around to enable gene selection and free choice of starting country for the other scenario version. Just thought I'd tell if you're interested :b I think it's a little too easy now, but that's just personal taste.

@Celefin Huh, at least it is fixed now. Just so you know, the ability to choose genes and stuff is located in the first scenario options panel, where you set the custom win conditions and stuff.

@Dragonborn No error messages - the older version (this one here, with the most subscribers of the two) doesn't even show up in the list of my scenario creator files. I had some problems with the newer version as well, but those seem to have been solved. Support was rather puzzled but managed to replicate the problem in their office. Seems that they've at least fixed the problem for the new scenario version, even if this version here is out of my reach forever. :b

Yeah, I figured it out after a while. I don't think it would be possible on any harder difficulties, though.

Well, if you're able to improve the accessible version to be even remotely close to the newest version that we can play, that'd be amazing in and of itself.

@elkindennis00 The cure goes up so fast because of a government action called 'secret service envolved' that allocates country research funds early on. Also, the 'researchers helped by spellcraft professionals' and 'defcon 3' increase research speed disproportionally. I don't have access to this version anymore due to a bug. There is another version of the scenario that I -can- edit that is significantly easier due to adjustments. Research speed still increases fairly quickly (not as fast though) but can be slowed down much more easily. I like the difficult version, but then again I've played it hundreds of times for balancing.

Ok, legit question, why does the cure go up SO FAST? The only time I see the cure go THIS fast is on Necroa Virus higher difficulties, and I'm on normal.

@Celefin Found it, gene selection is under advanced scenario settings when you first name your new scenario and set win conditions, etc. Just thought you should know.

Yeah, happened not just with yours, but also recently happened with a Dio Brando scenario I subscribed to.

All custom scenarios? I seem to have broken Plague Inc itself. The ultimate viral scenario. :/

Oh, and for some reason, custom scenarios make my game crash, maybe the bugs are affecting the game itself now.

By the way, if you do decide to remake it a third time, I'd recommend Googling how to make disease genes work. It would be nice to have the unlocked genes I worked and grinded so hard for used in this scenario.

I will. The current situation is the result of them trying to fix it it would seem. Oh, and after updating the new upload once I've lost access to that as well.

Dayum, hopefully the publisher doesn't bug out anymore. I'd report this to the Plague Inc devs.

ATTENTION
Something went very wrong with the publisher and the original scenario (this one here) has become inaccessible to me, despite it being out there and me being listed as author. First I couldn't make any changes to it any more. Support promised to look into it, but now it doesn't even show up in my scenario list in the scenario creator. The last update I tried to publsh was implemented though, so at least that got done before 'contact was lost'. :/

Now it's back in 'this week's popular scenarios'. That is a new upload that I do have access to. But: I DID NOT republish this as a kind of self plagiarized item to get more views. In fact I didn't publish it at all! I logged onto Steam today and found it under popular scenarios. So now there exist two 'Pandemic Is Magic' uploads, one of which I can't access. I have no idea. I hope people will understand that I won't delete the new one, since I want to play around with it and incorporate feedback. Currently they are identical.

Weird, the regular game crashed for me during the Unknown Origin scenario. Perhaps Plague Inc Evolved is being rather buggy for everyone.

Currently unable to access the scenario and correct some of the issues that have appeared since the last update. Publisher crashed and locked me out. Support has said they're working on it.

New version published with many things from comments and other feedback incorporated.

@Captain Maggot Thank you very much for the comment, this actually means a lot to me! Time and effort well spent then. And believe me when I say that there are parts of the MLP fandom that make me cringe as well, but I guess that's going to be the case in every fandom. And I dislike the term 'brony', because of its associations (rightly or wrongly) with those parts. Anyway. Thank you for having a look, judging on merit and commenting honestly. If more people would do that, the world would be a better place ;)

I'm honestly very against Brony cringe and whatnot, (I mean i'm in at least 1-2 anto-brony groups) but I upvoted because you are clearly very devoted to your craft, and put a lot of time and effort into this. +rep!

@PR Unit Really? I'd be more interested in attempting an interdimensional portal and keep trying the random dimensions until a connection to the MLP one is achieved.

@Dragonborn I'm actually in the process of tweaking it to that end, although if that ending is 'happy' is a matter of perspective, I guess.

Yeah, though I'd make it a bit easier to get the harmony ending. Some people like a happy ending.
