This mod is great, but it makes the m4 with suppressor too loud, since the sound is the same for that one as well. Maybe you should change it back, or change it to a different supressed weapon.

Alright. I like your profile pic, I'm from texas too and the skull reminds me of my stepdad's painted cow skull hanging above our door

@Raven Sure thing, I can start on those mods and check out yours once I'm home.

If you also feel like bothering, I'll make my m16 file public so you can see what I've done screwed up with, cause I unpacked the vpk and renamed the files the same way they were is the original insurgency files, deleted the m203 so it wouldn't be duplicate, and repacked the whole thing and at first it did work, but as soon as I switched to another gun and switched back it stopped working.

Thanks man, you're the best. I was also hopeing to (once I had got the m16a4 one working) remake the hl1 (non-hd) shotgun sounds for the m590, and the HL:OF deagle sound to the m1911. I can't seem to get these working so if you can find the time, can you please?

@Raven change in plans, I went ahead and did it now. Here you go: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=899426393

@Raven I'll redo it for the M16a4 and upload it, but it'll have to be after school. It'll be around ten to eleven hours from now, if you're fine with waiting.

Actually my m16a4 version stopped working (tested it and it worked once, then went in again and it wouldn't work) so I wonder how you got this to work for the m4a1?

Would it be alright if I uploaded a copy of this but for the m16a4? (couldn't figure out how to get the sound files straight form hl:s cus I'm new to modding)

I just got the original half life, trying now

@Frank Ocean Even though it only changes models and some sounds, it still provides a different experience. I'd recommend it whenever you play any of the original games next.

Ah that is very sick and interesting, I may try that pack myself sometimes

@Frank Ocean In 2001, when Half-Life Blue Shift was released, it came with an optional HD Pack that made all the weapons, enemies, and NPCs look a lot better. It also changed the MP5SD to an M4a1, and changed its sound effects to match it. The HD pack was made available for all of the original Half-Life games in 2005, and it can be turned on in the video settings.
