Small Edit due to the Link in my last comment not working use a version of TFA Redux, I'm currently using https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2840364032 though due to TFA mods commonly going down and being being reuploaded its bound to change. ( for context to this simply don't use TFA base if you're getting black scopes use TFA base Redux )

When I looked the link, right? the link has showed as an error, because I or we cannot tell what is going on. SO this means we cannot gained access to the TFA's profile

yeah but its a black screen with the scope and it doesn't let see your surroundings when you use it. I played around with the TFA Bases and managed to make it kinda work. it doesn't work on the E-11 for now. it also depends on what kinda a swep you downloaded too. Cause I tried it on my sandbox and it only showed the cross hair but couldn't see through it. But when I joined a Star Wars RP Server it worked on all the weapons I had so far except the E-11. I'm still playing around trying to find the Complete fix to this problem.

for anyone asking about full black scopes and being unable to aim down them i believe ive solved this problem now if you are playing with base tfa switch over to tfa redux i cant say exactly why this solves it but it does or at the very least has for me (here is tfa redux https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2840031166 )

Some severs like Icefuse/Superior have disabled those to save on performance instead of just reducing player max. Other super large servers are doing the same.

Hello.
Whenever I fire a weapon, the muzzle flash and the laser is invisible.
Could it be related to addon confliction, or can you fix this glitch?

Shouldnt be coming from here. Would be more likely outdated code from the tfa base itself being updated.

Hey, just picked up a load of Star Wars weapon addons I've used before just fine and they mostly now have an issue with the bolts appearing way ahead of the weapons and kind of small. Happening to addons from different authors, and they all have these resources in common. Any chance of a fix if this is from here?

Eh. Its an old solution for old problems. Old unupdated addons might still want it to be a lower dx level but in most cases, if the adddon was any good, you can probably search for a replacment for that addon thats been updated to be compatible with todays content.

That did it. Thanks for the assist there, fixed another issue I was having with another addon too. So all the things that say "If you're crashing do the whole -dxlevel 81 thing" are outdated now then?

Did you per chance add a bunch of launch options to "optimize" your game performance at some point? If so make sure you are using directx 9+. Setting it any lower will make it so 3dscopes dont work.

Hi, for some reason the scopes are missing textures for me and I can't see through them. I've double checked that I've got all the required games for gmod and addons for this pack installed that I need, reinstalled gmod and the addons several times, validated several game caches and I can't find anything that fixes my issue. I know it's an issue on my end rather than with the addon itself as people I talk to don't have this issue. If anyone's got any ideas how to fix it any help would be much appreciated.

Make sure you are using Redux not SV2/SV. Both have a bug with ricochet.
