It's not that big of a pain for 1 model. It's a bigger pain when people ask for things like remove the models from the bases, or apply xyz change to every model.

The 3D importing and 3D changes themselves aren't very time consuming, but the 3D exporting, texture editing, and file uploading are the troublesome part.

Only 1 model is pretty easy to take care of, took me like 10 minutes.

Hey thanks! And yep, I understand that this is probably a pain in the ass, and can imagine the other gangs are more extensive for a reason

I'm feeling in a good mood, so I'll add it right now.
But I don't plan on completing this gang to the same extent as the other vanilla gangs, since I don't expect it to get used as frequently. Hopefully you'll understand that.

But I do have some good news: I plan on using this model for the Underhive Scummer hired gun.
I'll be releasing it as a separate "Hired Gun" mod pack.

Can you add some of them standing unarmed? I use those a lot and currently only have standing guys for Van Saar

Seems legit, I know there are a lot of weapons.

You're right, and yes I do plan on making knife models.
I'm going to make the knife models after the rest of the weapons. Since every ganger automatically has a knife in necromunda, players can assume all models have knives.

I can't seem to find anyone with the pack that's willing to help so I might need that. 🤔

Your mod's mention of states reminded me of something I noticed. The models all have knives on their legs, and KF has a knife as a weapon. Is there any way you could make a knife-wielding ganger?

Side note: I feel like I'm pestering you. Feel free to tell me to piss off. :P

Nice! But no, I don't have it. :\ The only copy of killing floor I've ever played was on my cousin's PC, as my internet can't really support online gaming where latency actually matters. (Tabletop only works because lag doesn't make a difference.) If you don't have the pack, though, I could probably change that.

New update! Lots of guns!

Oh and also, I want to do the enforcer faction next.
Unless you have the Steampunk pack 2, and then we can do that one next.

Hmmm.. I think yes I can splice heads.
But I need another head, and not just any head will do ;)
That's a good idea! But I don't think I can do many. I want to focus on getting all of the weapons out first.

Hey, good luck on your degree! It's a great feeling to get that diploma in hand. Regarding other gangs: could I persuade you to do Goliath next (or after next) perhaps? And would it even be possible to splice other heads on them? I love the commando, but uniformity was never House Goliath's strong suit. Also, their mohawk fixation.

Yeah Blender is more popular in the TTS communities because it's free.
I happen to be a college student, so I have access to a student license for 3DS.

An illustration of how green I am: this is the first time I've heard of 3DS Max.
ItchyDani3l  [author] Mar 21, 2017 @ 4:34pm
I do all of the 3D work in 3DS Max.
I go into the workshop files of the mods ICN mentioned and download the .Obj and texture files of the models I want to take apart.
Then most models can be taken apart fairly easily by selecting chunks of the model and deleting them until you're left with just the part you want.

I also made some changes to make the guns look better on the KF models
For the lasgun I deleted the bayonet and the machine gun I mirrored it and moved the handles. (It came from the chimera). I also shortened the barrel by moving it inside of itself

Hell yes, Commando looks awesome. I have to look up Grim Reaper, but you have excellent taste so I trust your judgment. I have to ask, though: how are you getting the 40k weapons in their hands? Blender or something? I know that's childs' play to some people, but I'm only just starting to model.
ItchyDani3l  [author] Mar 21, 2017 @ 3:41am
I plan to use the "Steampunk Commando" for house Goliath, "Ash Harding" for house Escher, "Grim Reaper" for Cawdor. I haven't decided about the rest yet.
DonnieLove Mar 21, 2017 @ 12:53am
I don't suppose you have the Steampunk 2 character pack in mind for those future packs, by any chance? They look the most "wasteland appropriate" from what I've seen.
DonnieLove Mar 20, 2017 @ 11:24pm
oh my god yes.
