Radiaton burns? Wouldn't this be better in the hands of the Pyro as an Axe replacement? (Would even fit perfectly with the taunt...)

As for a status effect, I'd say "Radioactive" where they can't be exstinguished if suffering afterburn, and glow green/leave glowing footprints (And are highlighted through walls)

RESKIN OF THE CABER! That would be awesome. Or, it would have mroe damage of the caber, and even if you survived the blast (the Demo or the victim), you'd have radiation poisoning that would act like fire or bleeding!
