nickashforth Oct 18, 2017 @ 7:00pm
I have unsubscribed from this mod, but the effect is still present. Anyone else have this issue?

[RUS] Не качественно сделано
Свет от магии перекрывается тенями от других источников света.
С видом от третьего лица пальцы персонажа отбрасывают тень

BTW, I noticed that your hands will cast shadows because spells give off light through fingers. That is very impressive. Overall it's a very immersive mod.
Imacat Aug 2, 2017 @ 4:59am
I'm using Realistic Lighting, and this mod works well outdoors. But it often goes off in dungeons where it's most needed. (T_T)

ever heard of the Ring of Candlelight mod?
Kudos to this one and its immersive additition to the game, but if you just want light, get the ring mod
Jozsefirst Jan 29, 2017 @ 1:50am
Light always goes off after a while, mostly when i switch camera view
KnightArtorias8 Nov 27, 2016 @ 12:14am
Great mod, but makes steath magic impossible
Anan As Jun 30, 2016 @ 7:41am
It gives vampire's(Master vampire, bandit etc.) magic too much light, looks like they are holding red light plus their fingers give the light a scary shadow if you are in a dark cave.

Great mod, saved me from using Candlelight every 60 seconds. Only issue was the fact - which you stated, that it didn't work in some dungeons. Otherwise, great mod. Cheers.

Nice mods, but from time to time it stops working. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
Niko Nov 24, 2015 @ 1:14pm

Venator Sep 25, 2015 @ 6:11pm
does this work for enchantments? I wish my fire sword gave off some warm light :/
John Shepard Aug 1, 2015 @ 4:14pm

Amadeus Blackstone May 1, 2015 @ 12:16pm
Sometimes the mod stops working when I do a kill move with a sword and I have a spell in my other hand or it'll randomly stop working indoors.
Rickles Feb 27, 2015 @ 10:50pm
I found one OH YEEAA!!!!!!
MINXON Jan 10, 2015 @ 1:37pm
SO FUCKING NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SpicySniper Jan 4, 2015 @ 11:11pm
You should fix the bug where it sometimes doesn't work indoors. I'm using project realism right now so my caves are darker than normal. I had it in my mind that I'd have spells to light my way. I soon found out I was wrong when I tried switching spells and then switching back.
Kafo Dec 31, 2014 @ 5:18pm
In first i think it's good modyfication. But it not work under shadow tree, building.. So i decide to delete ohh and always bug in caves. And now when i try delete and after load save it return -_-
DEXTER Dec 29, 2014 @ 6:55pm
this is something skyrim NEEDED to have
Newton Aug 1, 2014 @ 5:44pm
This mod has been pretty useful due to it i havn't changed my brightness settings away from default nor do i need night eyes nomattere where or when i am. On a completely unrelated note however i was wondering if you could mod enchated armor and make it not glow, i have 2 peices with 3 enchats on it and they emit a cold looking aura that gets in the way and bothers i know removing this is if anything the oppisite of your mod but i would be really helpful to me at least

This mod bugs out for me half the time.... It wont work in small tunnels or bridges, just open wilderness... randomly it stops working or doesent work till i walk through a door... but my follower uses magic and his shines brightly anytime he stick out his magic hands.. with full detail and effects.. and mines over here not working or it works and then in 3rd person doesent... is sadening... is a great mod when it work....just needs some corrections...
Hextorio Jul 4, 2014 @ 10:11am
Really good mod however it's not working properly with ENB and setting of bDeferredShadows to 0. The shadows get really ugly and even sun is flashing. However I'll stick to this mod and bDeferredShadows set to 1.
MattaN Apr 15, 2014 @ 2:10pm
The only problem is that it only applies to some basic spells and not for example healing which technically should give off light.

retropleco Dec 22, 2013 @ 12:22am

Arson with Lemurs ◕ω◕ Jul 15, 2013 @ 1:35pm
Something i would LOVE to have and use, but it's very bad for spellthiefs ;c
Sorrien May 6, 2013 @ 3:09pm
This looks really cool, I'll add it to my collection once you've patched out more bugs.
Cukier© Feb 12, 2013 @ 4:33pm
It gives a strong light, and you can't see this light in the shadow tree, stone, roof, etc.
jalapenojack Dec 15, 2012 @ 11:57am
@MineSteve56 Here is a mod that will fix the problem ;) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7481
CronicDemise Dec 8, 2012 @ 11:32pm
The reason it works and doesn't for everyone is because the mod is basing the light being cast off of natural light in the game. That's why if you're moving around an NPC, they'll be lit up and then not lit up. Other than that small annoyance, I love this mod! Added another level of immersion for me :3
Utopolis Dec 7, 2012 @ 12:54am
This mod isn't handy for a stealth mage ;-)
maLice. Nov 19, 2012 @ 3:23pm
shadow striping. does anyone know a fix?
Fama Oct 25, 2012 @ 8:11pm
This is amust have for mage builds
SteffiSyndrome Oct 19, 2012 @ 5:41pm
It works fine for me, except that sometimes it doesn't ... ehm how to explain, like when I am in a cave, sometimes the spell will give off light, sometimes it won't. I have no idea why and it's not a big deal, I am just letting you know, in case you can fix it. Other than that it's super handy and I enjoy it a lot :)
Castor Troy Oct 17, 2012 @ 1:37pm
Please fix the crashes and bugs. This is a great idea and it looks awesome but it needs some work.
Castor Troy Oct 16, 2012 @ 8:30pm
Looks awesome but my game gets sluggish when this is on.
Mr. Lister the Sister Fister Oct 15, 2012 @ 5:27pm
@dafrag i had the same problem do you have realistic thunder sounds i think its called installed? if so get rid of it that did the trick for me
TexGamer7 Oct 6, 2012 @ 11:46am
I have been using this mod for a good time now, thank you so much.

P.S. works great with Realistic Lighting mod
VZUKH Oct 5, 2012 @ 12:54am
illusion spells should not give off light
Ocelot113 Oct 4, 2012 @ 6:07pm
This mod should have been in from the beginning. Obviously, it wasn't because consoles couldn't handle it and PC is a second class hand-me-down platform, but seriously. Why was this not in the PC version.

Oh well, fundamental problems with Skyrim like the lighting striping problems and all are (from what I've been told) engine problems. This is why I won't purchase DLC for Skyrim. If they can't fix basic problems with the engine for modders, why would I buy extra content on a broken engine. Fix the major problems before feeding off DLC orders. That's part of growing a larger base, competence.

As for the mod, the random loss of light indoors can usually be fixed by switching between a weapon and a spell. Really the only serious issue with the mod is the shadow striping on NPC's. I still use it, I still love it, just really wish there were a fix for the black squares on the NPC's.

e.i. the .ini commands made no difference on the striping on NPC's.
Dafrag Sep 19, 2012 @ 7:34am
if I use my powers as FUS ROH DAH for example, crashes my game!!!! Why ?
RogueLikely Sep 16, 2012 @ 1:16pm
Can you make a version of this mod on the nexus that ingnores illusion and possibly alteration spells? Perhaps just a version for destruction spells only? Illusion spells seem (at least to me) be a more stealth based skill, seeing as the silent casting perk is located there, and it would be nice to have them not increase detection rates by emitting light.

bDeferredShadows changes didnt do shit for me, it actually made it worse. Imagine the Breezhome shadow bug on a masive scale! and I still stuck with teh shadows on my character not being lit up correctly.
