Remove the last requirement "(AND)Items.AlienDroneCarrierDatacore", It doesn't work and stops the final mission being offered. I replaced it with "(AND)Items.Alienalloys", so that selling one alien alloy completed that list of requirements, but if you do it at the start I suspect you can remove it without replacing it with something else.

(2) On line 640:

<Cell ss:StyleID="s74"><Data ss:Type="String">Researches.Predator(AND)Researches.AlienAntigravityGenerator(AND)Researches.PsionicStudy</Data></Cell>

I recommend removing the last requirement "(AND)Researches.PsionicStudy" from this one as well. I replaced this with "(AND)Items.Alienalloys" so that as soon as I completed the other two requirements, I was able to research the sentinel battlesuit.

Well, I randomly tried and I changed the resolution 1900x1200 to 1600x900 and ... it no longer crashed on the GeoScape!

It seems the game could not manage the long (very long) list of ship occupants in the space available on the popup at the higher resolution, but can on the lower. So - I can keep playing!

I recently restarted playing Xenonauts after many years. I installed the community edition, downloaded a few mods (including this XXP expansion pack mod), and began playing.

The game crashed during missions quite often, and sometimes at the end of missions, but reloading I was always able to continue, so it was quite tolerable and still fun.

However, I have come to a dead halt now, with a crash on the Geoscape which repeats every single time I load it. The crash happens when a certain type of UFO is detected, and I think it is trying to create the "UFO Detected" popup and crashing on doing that, because the popup never appears but the large orange icon appears on the map for a second before the application crashes.

I have tried to run it now maybe 20 times, the crash is repeatable, and I do not know the UFO type causing it (of course, since the popup never appears).

I checked the Windows Event Viewer on my PC, and it records the crash each time.

How do I get the plasma or fusion explosive technology? And which aliens should I get to get the predator or sentinel armor?

Tried this, but when starting up the game the screen went blank. Not sure if the cause was deleting the contents of the Scripts folder, another mod conflict, or the order of mods. I did this mod first, per the instructions, then then XCE, followed by other mods including tile packs etc (nothing on the Non-compatibility list). Should I use no other mods other than the listed recommended ones? Should I NOT delete the contents of the Scripts folder? Any ideas?

This mod like many others is outdated, some people had problem with the jungle, for me its the difficulty of the invasion increasing exponentially i got a new york invasion... and barely had any jackal armour

How the fuck i het Alenium research? I have like 20 alenium, DIrectional thrusters, light drone wreckage, Alien reactor... But not Alenium? I FINISHED LANDING SHIP WITHOUT ANY ARMOR, GIVE ME MY WOLF ARMOR AND SCIMITAIR TANK U BASTARDS

it tends to crash when i try to use the rockets on the Hyperion Hover Tank

also it looks like you added in the Saracen i heard there was Mech Suits somewhere in the files but the devs decided not to use them you think you might add those?

The game is still playable with this, although there are frequent crashes and certain things do not work.

I found some crash, mb someone have it too:
1) When i stady allenium explosive, and try to switch weapon on Hunter car, game crash/
2) Smart Pisotl didn't have fier mod( i can't aim and shoot)

Dammit, it keeps crashing on me every time I try to access the troop loadout section and look at the rockets. And also after the "Soviet Pact" project is completed. Any recommendations?

I am a bit confused. When I download this mod. It adds Lore+ Armoured Assault
- Extended Weapon Descriptions for Fighters. Yet you say do not use these mods. Unlike Furies, Terror, and Dreadnoughts Oh My that has a +X:CE on it version number. The other mods do not have an +X:CE. Does this mean the Furies, Terror, and Dreadnoughts Oh My is safe to use? Is it safe to use all the mods that comes with this?

3.) It's regrettable that the tanks have been downgraded and have only 4 missiles now.
To change this, open "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Xenonauts\assets\mods\Xenonauts X-pansion Pack" and edit the 2 files vehicleweapons_gc.xml and vehicleweapons.xml:

Changing to 12 VV.Rockets: Inside the 2 files search for the VV.Rocket entries.

In vehicleweapons.xml change to:
...
<Cell><Data ss:Type="Number">12</Data></Cell>
<Cell><Data ss:Type="Number">1</Data></Cell>
<Cell><Data ss:Type="String">Incendiary</Data></Cell>

In vehicleweapons_gc.xml change to:
...
clipSize="12" />

Do this procedure with other vehicleweapons accordingly. Thereafter delete the scripts folder as described in the installation guide above. Then you can resume any saved game. The changes go into effect when starting the next ground mission.

This extension has issues:
1.) you have to reassure that this extension is really active: Click on Modding tools and switch this mod to "Yes", start a new game and leave the game completely. Repeat this procedure several times until "Yes" remains stable in the modding tool.

2.) tanks obviously now have 2 weapons, to switch the weapon press "R" or "L" before shooting

3.) It's regrettable that the tanks have been downgraded and have only 4 missiles now.

could someone create a collection what is best for use with this one ?
i get kinda confused because this mod needs other mods, which also needs mods.. but some of the mods are not compatible with this one ... i guess someone have a nice collection to share then ? Thanks

Thank you for this mod!So far,it's kicking my ass and I LOVE IT!No more AI not taking easy shots or circling on the spot-if aliens have an opportunity to kill they won't miss it.Also it took me by surprise how grouped up and coherent they were.While two cesians were shooting around corners,another one *just* out of view was moving into point-blank range.Spotted him turn away from a disaster.And that's just second landing site!On the third I got under full-auto fire from out of visual range at high fucking noon with half of my squad getting wiped out by at least 3 volleys of full-auto plasma and several single shots.

I got a question,though-was sebilians sight range and accuracy buffed that much or was I just that lucky?And is there any point to the smoke grenades now?

I think the reason is that Linux has the old version of Community editions
I installed the mod on Windows and copied all the files to Linux

Apparently it removes the arrows that let you change the order of the soldiers on the equipment screen in X:CE. It's the only thing I don't like about this mod, this feature made managing soldiers much easier.

Don't use this mod as it breaks researchable armors. Tired of watching your dudes get one-shot killed by everything but the machine gun on light drones? Well, build Wolf armor, and watch dudes STILL get one-shot killed by the same weapons at the same ranges, but now with $40,000 and 15 kilos of useless armor.

I can't find the internal scripts folder in my Steam>Steam Apps>Common>Xenonauts>Assets.
There is just a "Scrpts" folder under Assets, but nothing which reads "internal". Deleting the scripts folder broke the game, in spite of the instructions.

Come on man, it says in the description to install community edition first.

I'm a month into the game, and so far no bugs. Also, Fire in the Hole works so far (I assume it just won't work with the new UFOs added by XXP)
