I have made a new mod that has the same function as this but updated for 2.0

Updated to 1.9.1.

Hmm, tried reuploading, if it still says incompatable with 1.6.1 try unsubbing, deleting the file, then resubbing. Might be some old code.
Elenorefangirl Jun 6, 2017 @ 1:51pm
It's still saying that it doesn't support 1.6.1
Bedivere  [author] May 9, 2017 @ 3:02pm
ok, should be good, I doubt there will be any conflicts but let me know if there are.
Askalan May 9, 2017 @ 12:22pm
May i ask you for an Update to be compatible with 1.6 ADAMS?
Bedivere  [author] Apr 21, 2017 @ 1:03pm
Ok, all the mods I've posted are updated to 1.5.1. No content change, just changed the version tracker from 1.4.1 to 1.5.1. There shouldn't be any issues as they just add content and don't mess with the game files.

ok just keep us informed
Bedivere  [author] Apr 14, 2017 @ 2:37pm
Sure thing, I've been gone for 2 weeks but I should have everything updated in a few days.
effthis Apr 12, 2017 @ 7:44pm
Hi, love your mod. Could you please update to 1.5.1? Thank you in advance!

update 1.5

@Faustian Device I don't have a problem with energy, I was just trying to explain why I find 1000 unfair even for something like a repeatable technology. I guess before the nerf it would've been fine. If I really needed it, I would've changed the values myself.
Laffey-chan Mar 7, 2017 @ 10:58am
@juna39 Yes. But it doesn't increase so much. For example, China: ~20% of world's population is chinese. And of course, a lot of them work at other countries, but still. Do their research new technologies 10 times faster then EU? Or Japan? There is a lot going on behind the scenes, and a lot of smart people are busy with other stuff, like controlling the society or leading the country. While their potential 'intellectual power' is high, they cannot use it as efficently as smaller countries because of enormous bureaucratic apparatus. Actually, tall empires are at a disadvantage in terms of research even in stock Stellaris, and are only better at tech because you can micromanage them. You can read the math behind it here . Really, I get what you're trying to say, and I mostly agree, but there are many examples then having smaller population is an advantage (again, Japan).
Faustian Device Mar 7, 2017 @ 8:18am
Om Hom, do you use Tycoon or Advanced Buildings? Both of those have storage of some sort for energy.
... without the 0% tech reduction or millions of years of research.
ISBS also increases energy cap, but that's a massive research time (for massive ships, but I digress) so...
Shades Mar 7, 2017 @ 8:14am
OM Hom Hom, actually research DOES work like that. In real life. Larger populations have more people who are highly intelligent, as in, large populations do not decrease the percentage of intelligent people, in large populations the migration is usually greater, and institutes of learning are bigger and private corporations doing research are better funded because their customer base is larger -> an investment in technology brings faster and greater profits. This even makes commercial development of technologies more profitable. Large amount of science on private sector increases amount of money and trained personnel on government projects, and so forth.
However games need a system that makes small empires both playable, and able to put up a fight against a human.
So, in reality, a large and diverse population INCREASES the research speed.
Laffey-chan Mar 6, 2017 @ 9:02pm
@thesnowfox84 These mods make tall empires worthless, and research speed increases exponentially. I hate it. If you are 10 times larger then the enemy, you will research 10 times faster. Research doesn't work like that. I use the mod that makes them larger instead, to increase the benefits for tall empires.
thesnowfox84 Mar 6, 2017 @ 7:04pm
Om Hom Hom there is a mod that makes it worth it. Its called Tech Reduction 0% and it makes it so your Research doesn't suffer because of a large pop.:steamhappy: YAY FOR MODS I like it by the way will use it !:47_thumb_up: :47_thumb_up:
Veiden Mar 6, 2017 @ 1:32am
I think the first study should give 1000 resource, the second 2000, third 3000 and so on. And energy technologies should be in physics rather than engineering.
Bedivere  [author] Mar 5, 2017 @ 7:50pm
aaaaaand done. Check out "More Storage (Repeatable +2500)" if you are interested in a larger storage/tech ratio.
Bedivere  [author] Mar 5, 2017 @ 6:36pm
I can kick out a version with +2500 for each resource as a tier 5 tech and leave this one up.
Laffey-chan Mar 5, 2017 @ 11:22am
@CapitainGrimlock It's NOT worth it. Research slows with population, you know. Even in tech based empires It still takes 5+ years to research repeatable techs (after the nerf). Also, energy tech is only useful because you can't increase the energy cap beyond 10k, and a lot of people use this mod as a legitimate way around stock restrictions like gaia terraforming cost, for example. Mineral tech is USELESS again. Why would you spend 20 years of research to get same thing you get from 1 building? Also, have you seen the Paradox Utopia streams?
The technical difficulties one? Then you might have noticed that they raised the endgame storage from 10k/20k to 100k/200k. Having something simillar today would be really nice, and 2000/4000 energy/minerals repeatable is a fair addition to the current balance.
CaptainGrimlock Mar 5, 2017 @ 10:50am
It IS worth it in the late game with what, 200-300 reaserch/minerals a month:steamhappy:
Laffey-chan Mar 5, 2017 @ 9:29am
Yes... But it takes many months to research, which you can spend on something actually useful. Imagine how much easier it is to build 1 silo than to research 4 repeatables. You can get +20% to your total power, or +20% damage and a silo, or +4000 energy\minerals storage and... one other building. Not even remotely competitive. I guess if you are 1 planet empire then the tech may be better, but let's be realistic... Even if you are a tall empire, on tier 3 1 planet is a game over.
saltermelon Mar 5, 2017 @ 6:26am
@Om Hom Hom Research doesn't take up precious tiles tho
Laffey-chan Mar 4, 2017 @ 10:42pm
Just +1000 energy seems too low if you can get +5% to production instead. (And 1 mineral silo = 4 repeatable techs? Makes mineral tech useless) Maybe make a +2000 energy and +4000 minerals version?
