- Restored support for engine -> Hammer communication via the "map_edit" command
- In Garry's Mod, this also makes hammer.SendCommand work now

Hey Bizz, just wanted to give a thank you for making such an incredible addon. It made the prop part of my recent map zs_rebels_v2 extremely easy. 90% of all the props in that map where placed using your utility. You are incredible

this will never work with Hammer++ as it uses the built-in with gmod hammer lib

i downloaded the mod, loaded a map and it says all the commands just dont exist... this mod is so old so idk if it even works anymore but i did everything normal and yet it has issues

Man, you have a problem in this addon, custom models replace the initial path to the model, that is, this "/" turns it into this "\" which is wrong and most have ERROR instead of normal props:lunar2019deadpanpig:

This addon is great! Could you make the weld and Articulation compatible?

The weld could be phys_constraint

and the Articulation could be phys_ballsocket

With that added, it would be the best addon of all gmod

Never tested this with hammer++, but I will say that I likely have no control over how this connects to hammer++. Whether or not hammer++ can be supported is entirely up to the hammer++ devs, or if gmod itself adds support for it.

ummm the source map tools dont work anymore. any replacement or fix? as the files wont show for download. just forever loads. I wanna fix my issue of props and models and stop them from disappearing as Im working on a MP storm chasing map

Works almost perfectly, but when compiling the map all props (from css) placed appear as errors. But this is easily fixable in hammer by reselecting the worldmodel.

Is there a way to get bodygroup changes to show in Hammer? The prop I use has the correct class for the model, but bodygroup changes won't reflect on update.

I would be able to place my npcs in an easier way since I place props with this, I wanna also place them in at the same time. Plus weapons and ammo has to be placed manually also and it's not very fun if you wan't them to be on tables since you can't place entities on props.

Its more aimed at prop placement because for me that's easier to do in gmod than in hammer and it also means I can bring dupes into hammer. What's your reasoning for using this as opposed to hammer for placing NPCs?

@ifchan I don't see why you'd need permaprops, once the map is compiled all the props placed are permanent with that map unless removed.
